I agree that most of ppl who commit a suicide must've gone through lots of pain and heartbreaks, felt lonely or rejected. 😭 I pray that none suffers this much or reaches this stage.😒
In many dramas they don't care about showing the things you pointed at in your post They make it look like a sudden thought, or a way to escape punishment.
Allah is the most mercifull. And those phrases in Holy books warning ppl from taking on their own lives, are for their betterment. Rest is for him to forgive them or not. You said it in your post that those survivors regretted thinking of a suicide. This means that those phrases are to stop those helpless ppl from killing themselves, couse if they succeed there'll be no returning back.
@maroon . So true. 😭
There is this famous motivational speaker, one of the rare aurvivors who jumped off from Golden Gate bridge and yet made it alive. In his interviews he mentions that on the day he tried to kill himself, he contemplated a lot. He stood on the bridge thinking about everything in his life. Part of him didn't want to jump, so he told himself that if one out of the hundreds of people (tourists n regulars) who walk across the bridge, stops him from jumping he would not commit suicide. One lady comes and calls him. He feels a glimmer of hope but only to be asked of he would take a photograph of hers. He feels so hopeless, unseen, unimportant... And at that moment he makes up his mind. He clicks the picture, hands the camera back to her and then jumps.
If you see the videos n interviews, you will see their body language and energy everything screams 'i give up'. the last thoughts in the minds of people who die by suicide are so painful that you can almost feel it yourself. You see and understand why they did what they did. No one wants to die....so imagine how difficult living must be for them if they choose death over life.
