Today's precap is a dream of Aditya's. That part is easy to figure out. It can't be real. That's obvious. Imlie won't be asking for any right whatsoever any time soon. She's Vachan badh. Vachan nehi hota, to bhi she wouldn't ever come to him demanding her rights.

It can't be Imlie's dream . She is not going to dream something that goes against her self given promise . Also , she never dreams. Life has wiped away all her dreams from her eyes.

So it's Aditya's.

Now the hard part to decipher is why would he even dream such a weird dream if it's a dream ?? Seeing her in full bridal avatar will trigger it , I get it , but still ?

Aditya , can we look into your mind ??

It's probably his biggest fear since the marriage that Imlie will spill the beans and ask for her rights. It caused him to always regard her with abject suspicion even when there were overwhelming amount of evidence to the contrary. He has to know that Imlie won't ever break her promise . His logical mind does , which is why he's proceeding with his marriage just as planned before Pagdandiya happened in his life.

But is it fear alone ??

Today we saw an Aditya who is tormented. Conflicted . Distraught. Restless. He has the growing sense of dismay of something happening that is totally wrong .

Why is his feet shaking at the 11th hours?? Wedding jitters that he's hiding this truth from Malini? He was so preoccupied within the deep recesses of internal battles that he even lashed out at Malini for the 1st time in his life.

Emotional release or more commonly called as catharsis- it's our mind's way of righting the wrongs. It literally means purification. Our psyche, which is divided into conscious, subconscious and unconscious with blurred lines , tries to relieve any repressed deep emotion or feelings by this mechanism. It can be manifested by some definite action or even dreams. That's why we see in dreams stuffs that we probably wanted to do and pushed into our subconscious without further processing. But it lingers there. And find it's way in our dreams, it's called dream catharsis and many articles are there on it.

A very complex and hidden part of Aditya's psyche actually wants Imlie to stand up for her rights . Her passive stance is reassuring for him but it's also maddening because you can't fight against something or someone that is not providing any resistance.

A part of him wants her to stop him from committing this wrong ( humesha sach kehete hai , sach ka sath dete hai wala Aditya ), this marriage with Malini , right in front of his unacknowledged 1st wife. So that he can finally speak up the truth and deal with it. He wants her to do what he lacks the strength of doing. Us mein himmat nehi hai , pad Imlie mein hai. Wo chahe to ye shadi rok sakti hai.

He only became emotional when he came outside the cabin , saw Imlie in tears and immediately realized that she must've heard him ill mouthing her in front of Moon and hiding their marriage for good . That's when his inner conflict came out , and he said sorry and had a pretty heartfelt conversation with Imlie.

I think for him to appreciate her sacrifice it's important that his misconception about her , needs to go first . I think as she's fully ready to leave now , he's also on a path to revisit his ideas about her. He thought she's an opportunist but now on the brink of his marriage she's still keeping silent , so he has no scope to hide behind the notion. Agar wo opportunist hoti to kam se kam ab to apna muh kholti ?

He has realized he can't tell the truth , partially because of Malini and also because of his own lack of courage in this matter. So definitely not from his mouth. But this constant heaviness of carrying a big secret around is taking a toll on him.

He definitely needs time. Thumb rule of marriage : if your instincts are screaming at you just before marriage that this is a wrong step to take, NEVER go ahead with it . Stop, take a step back, analyse and self introspect and then proceed.

wow. loved your post. great analysis. tumne mere maan ki baat likh dali. 👍🏼 basically, In his subconscious mind, he wanted the truth about his marriage with imlie to come out before he gets married to malini. But not from his mouth ofcourse. He just want agar main nhi bol sakta toh ab imlie hi bolde but imlie bolna nhi chahti. Also, thinking agar sabko pta chal gya toh anu kabhi bhi malini se adi ki shaadi nhi hone degi. 😆 this is so f**ked up.
