I know we have discussed in detail on this forum about how Baa is being unreasonable when it comes to her treatment of Kinjal. Additionally we have also noticed how Pakhi Madame is all-of-a-sudden getting possessive about her mother since she is not getting that attention anymore.

But one question I would love to ask Baa, Anupamaa and you, the viewers is this:

What do the offsprings in her own house: Vanraj, Paritosh, Samar and Paakhi know about household duties and responsibilities? Despite all of them being 13+, have they ever even washed or folded their own clothes? Do they know how to cook their own food? Do they know how to keep things back in their own place and do their own things on their own? I have included Samar even though I know that along with Kinjal, he is more than happy to help with chores, but his mother and grandmother have never let him do them. Baa has been so particular about making Anu an unpaid household help, that she has not paid attention to what goes on under her nose. And if she comes up with a regressive male/female analogy, how come her own daughter is educated and earning as well as taking care of the household? In that case why does Paakhi neither have a traditional sense of dressing (salwar suits) nor manners nor knows how to do any chores?

That reminds me, please let Toshu take up a job now, which is not dependant on his in-laws. He looks way too carefree and happily married in this financial crunch situation. Part-time toh kar hi sakta hai! They can show progress on Samar's classes and call center job too and how he manages to despite all hurdles make himself and his mother financially secure. I rest my case on Baa's hypocrisy surrounding Anu going out and working and leaving the house to burn coz everyone has a responsibility to take care of the house they all so conveniently live in, both monetarily and emotionally. It is should not be Anu's burden alone.

You nailed it there in the first sentence itself. I totally agree 👏

It is almost like, its Bahu's duty is household chores. As soon as Kinjal got in, Baa started her rant with Bahu is supposed to do this and that. I loved it when Rakhi said Ghar me Bahu aayi he maid nahi.

So, for Baa only Anu and Kinjal should be responsible. and as long as Anu takes the responsibility of managing everything - everyone else is ready to order around and do nothing themsleves.

I am disappointed in Anu as well, rather than seeing her as an all-rounder hero - for once I want her to teach her Overgrown Kids - how to take care of themselves. It is just so unreal that she will manage dance, school, and the entire house on her own. Because although everyone agreed, I don't see anyone doing anything!

Thank you!

She was literally directly referring back to the Dave's first meeting with Anupamaa when they literally pretended as if she was the maid and Kavya was the mom, and if Samar would not have exclaimed Maa they would have just continued the drama.

So, for Baa only Anu and Kinjal should be responsible. and as long as Anu takes the responsibility of managing everything - everyone else is ready to order around and do nothing themselves.

That is literally what it seems like. The Bahus take care of the house, she keeps throwing insults in their face, the family members say they want to do something khud ke damm pe, and reducing costs on the wedding, then we have Toshu literally talking about spearheading Dave classes , becoming dependant on Rakhee. Like what?

I am just dissappointed how they are showing her handing off her responsibilities to Kinjal, who is being a sensible family member, while they are not atleast onscreen portraying the others trying to do their own thing, failing and then trying again. It should be their progress as a family, not Anupamaa becoming a superwoman and superhero who takes all the burden which will most likely drastically affect her mental health and physical health (again, no emphasis on her actual trauma, just show her getting irritated at Vanraj and Kavya). Truly hoping post this shaadi business and her slapping Kavya, the family gets back on track and runs as a collective rail gaadi and not her having to be the sole engine taking them forward.

I agree...👏

All of the members......which means literally all of the members of the family wants Anupama to do everything alone. They all say that she can do anything and everything and making her a superhero. I know motivating her is nice but they are all burdening her with more responsibilities , more pressure and Anupama is compiled to be the perfectionist and do everything on her own. Why nobody asks her and tells her that's it alright even if she is unable to do something, there is no need to be perfect in everything. She can fail in certain things at times but they need to tell her that it's okay if she fails rather than burdening her with "you can do anything"or "I know you will make everything right".

Why none if them understand and support her emotionally, make her strong mentally??

Baa's behaviour is so unsensible. From the time she was so worried about her "Hungry ,alone son" I am so disappointed with her. The way she taunts Kinjal and Rakhi , she should have behaved this way with her "bechara, bhookha beta" who cheated not only his wife but his whole family, the son who is not at all guily about his wrong deeds.

Even Rakhi is much ,much better that Baa's "Bechara" son ,but Baa being herself will taunt Kinjal, make her the maid of the house because Kinjal ki maa ne usse ghar ka kaam jo nahi sikhaya. Magar Baa ne toh aapne "Bechare" bete ko kitne aache se sikhaya hai ki apni galti kabhi mat maano, apni wife par cheat karo, jhooth bolo.....right??

This is not at all what I had expected will happen after the revelation of Vanraj's affair and I am so disappointed with the way the show is not concentrating on the growth of Anupama but only on making her the very perfect DIL and mother.

I see Hypocricy . When anupama went to for outing with friend devika and vanraj getting angry and wating for anupama that why anupama has gone with friend

At that time samar want to make tea for vanraj but vanraj said jiska kaam wohi karega means it is anupama duty to make tea so only anupama will make tea

Ajnd pakhi and toshu just sitting and wating for anupama to come and serve them food

When anupama return house after going out with friend . Vanraj start scolding ki tumhe chinta hai kisi. ? Yahan sub log bhooke hain? Aur tumhe sehli sang ghoomna hai?

Anupama did told main fridge mein khaana bana kur rakh ke gayi thi aur tharmas mein tea rakh ke gayi thi aap logon ne fridge nahi check kiya . Main baa ko sub baata ke gayi thi

Though anupama said this in frighting tone

Us baar baa pakhi toshu se itna nahi bhi hua khaana fridge se nikal kar aur tharmas se tea nikaal kur le liya karein. Woh bhi anupama hi kare

People like Baa in the guise of tradition will reduce anyone to nothing. She specialises in taunts and when her so called educated successful son remarks how his mother clean bowled Rakhee with her list one can understand how the Ghar ka chirag is raised.

The way she insults Nandini for the Soan papdi, the way she creates a scene when Pakhi returns on the bike and the way she never ever accepted her mistakes but threw Anupama under the bus makes her a personification of evil. Any amount of prayers or atonement can't redeem her.

@Bold: Agreed. These would make it more realistic, as it is impossible for her to be great at everything from the get-go. I have a lot of opinions on Baa's behavior and how Rakhi was much more sensible in some aspects, but they would border on becoming rude hence I will refrain from doing so here on the forum 😆

My expectations were different too and I hoped it would focus on her journey apart from being a mother and DIL, but those things are not in our hand. Hopefully they will take these things into consideration moving forward and show us how her perspective, her life and her story moves ahead without the support of Vanraj.

Thats it! From the first episode itself they have showed how Anu is expected to take everything in her stride and yet be taken for granted. Exactly why I hoped they would show a contrast in this case, where the family genuinely does something to support her. Thanks for pointing out this 😊
