May be there is but there is no guarantee when you will meet her/him
The notion of soulmates is utter bullshit.
But someone somewhere is out there for everyone. Or rather there are people out there for everyone. There are always people with whom you will click, have fun, and have a chance to make a meaningful lifetime relationship with.
There's nothing wrong with believing in the idea of "soulmates". It can work for many millions of people.
I used to believe it. Now I don't. So yes the message can still be relevant. And if it fails, there are plenty other films/songs to take inspiration from.
I loved this song so much!

yes, we all are different degrees of weird, its all about finding the one who is as weird as you and can have a lifelong relationship with, without being judged at all.

Love being a weirdo <3
But I don't love the weird obsession in todays times of the fear of being "judged".
What is wrong with being judged? You can be judged unfairly... or fairly. Being judged means the person has looked at and analysed a situation or scenario and given a judgement. Judgement is a very natural human instinct. We ALL do it, but most pretend not to. If our fear of being judged is because we have done bad things, then that's a fair judgement and I don't think the right to be judged should be taken away from a potential partner.
(If) I date someone, I want to be able to say: this is who I am, this is how I've f*cked up, so judge me based on that, and if even after all that you still care, then please stay... and love me(!!!)
For me, the most important thing is RESPECT. After you've judged me, respect the person I am, or who I've been made to be from my experiences. And I'll respect you back for that too. Whether we stay together or not.
You can still have a very strong loving, caring, nurturing relationship even if some compatibilities are not there, but as long as you respect each other's choices and give each other space, it can work amazingly well... with Respect.
