So from this track they only wants to convey that rape, domestic violence, sexual harrasment only happens with beautiful girls

It means if girl is beautiful then she is AVAILABLE for everyone

If girl is beautiful then the whole world will make a plan to destroy her life

Megha will never understand mayura's pain you know why because she never gone through that phase

Very good post with some facts which are bothering every viewer since the start of this serial.

I agree with you and Jaya ma'am had said this wasn't their original plan. It was added later. Why?!Just why?! If they wanted Mayura to lose her looks they could've shown it by accident. Characterwise Mayura was going fine till that drunk scene where she is willing to forgive him if he says he felt bad abt hurting her. I mean she didn't cut him any slack when she found out that he married her only for her beauty that still would-ve be palateable so why now?

Totally agree. But this is indian TV. There is undeniable chemistry between the leads. So they cannot just write off the main hero as a complete villain otherwise no TRPs . Also lets face it, it makes for an interesting irony that Omkar did not love Mayura when she was flawless but he is falling in love with her when her face is severely scarred. As a viewer it is interesting to watch Omkar being both attracted and repugned by her at the same time. The actor is pretty good at those contrasting emotions. You are correct that in the grand scheme of things the cause of her injury is being brushed under the carpet and they might well as easily shown it to be an accidental one.

Forgot to add that while no female, regardless of age, looks, marital status is totally safe, history has shown that beautiful women are prominent targets. What others might perceive as a boon can become a curse. I dont think the premise of the show is totally off.

I think you missed the part where I said that NO women is safe. No where did I say that a women has to be beautiful to be a victim of violence. But it is a fact that throughout history men have wanted to possess and own beautiful women as objects. Wars have been launched to possess beautiful women. They are not viewed as humans; just possessions. This show is only about THAT aspect. It does not mean that an average woman/girl cannot be a victim. It also does not mean that beauty is always a curse. It makes little sense to make sweeping generalized statements.
