Pranbir wedding + abhigya realisation- a short story (completed)

Hey all, I am a silent member of this forum and I am quite frustrated with the way they did pranbir wedding drama with most probably no wedding. So I decided to write this. I am not a writer so it's just a simple piece of work.

This starts when Prachi and Ranbir are at the mandap and Rhea and Maya are still unconscious at that godown.

Part 1

Ranbir was feeling ecstatic, like it was the best day of his life. He was getting married to the love of his life, Prachi. He didn't really care in what circumstances they were getting married, he wanted to quickly get it over with before anymore hurdles arrive. He glanced sideways at Prachi, though he wasn't able to see her face due to the gunghat, he knew she looked very pretty in her gorgeous lehanga. Anyhow, looks rarely mattered to him nowadays. He found prachi beautiful even in a simple night dress with no makeup on. It was this simplicity which attracted him to Prachi.

Prachi was feeling very tensed about the wedding. She knew she loved Ranbir but she still didn't get time to totally process her feelings. She slightly hoped the wedding does indeed happen because she couldn't bear Maya getting married to Ranbir but she was feeling guilty of not letting her mother know about this. She checked to see if Abhi has some plan to stop the wedding. Abhi looked confident and smiled at her. The pujari kept on reciting mantras.

Later on Abhi came and did their gathbandhan. She had always wanted her mother to do her gathbandhan but she felt strangely happy that Abhi was doing this. She had always felt the void of a male figure in her life despite her mother doing everything possible to make her life wonderful. She felt protected and safe when Abhi was there.

The pujari said more mantras and he later on said it was time for the pheras. Prachi panicked instantly as she knew if the pheras got completed her wedding will be half complete. She looked at Ranbir for reasurrance but he was grinning like an idiot. Prachi seriously felt that the boy won't take anything seriously.

"Ranbir, our pheras are going to happen , it can't be undone, how are we going to stop the wedding?"asked Prachi

"Don't worry Prachi, chief will definitely do something" . Ranbir felt bad lying to Prachi but he thought once the wedding is done, Prachi will be happy.

Prachi and Ranbir began the pheras, each one signifying a promise. Ranbir vowed to fulfill all of them and to make sure not a pinch of sadness comes in Prachi's face.

Aliya was getting so happy seeing Rhea getting married. She definitely loved Rhea but it was mostly for her own sake. Rhea is the one powerful weapon she had in her hands to make sure Abhi and Pragya never unite. Rhea was so easy to manipulate unlike her son. She anyway didn't want to involve Aryan in any drama though she was worried about Aryan trying to bring Rahul.

"Good thing, I locked Aryan and Shahana with Rahul in that room. So now there will be no hindrance in my path" She thought.

Abhi was texting some people to come and stop the wedding but they were stuck in traffic. There was a huge block due to some fight it seems. Ranbir was always like a son to Abhi and he felt he was perfect for Rhea but now he gave up hopes of seeing their marriage.

The pheras were completed one by one and it was time for tying the mangalsutra. Ranbir smiled at Prachi and prayed that whatever the circumstances are he will always support Prachi. He took the mangalsutra and opened Prachi's gunghat and saw her beautiful face. He was so memerised by her that he tied the mangalsutra automatically in her neck. Prachi felt butterflies in her stomach.

"Ranbir has always been there for me even when we weren't friends. He has always trusted me and I really do love him. I have to accept that I am getting married. Everything will be fine after this" Prachi thought.

Rhea and Maya slowly woke up and were able to escape from the godown as the goons turned out to be fools. Rhea was shocked seeing Maya and they both realised Prachi was the one getting married to Ranbir in their place. They quickly tried to run to the wedding venue.

Pragya was worried about Prachi and the rest of them. She found Sarita aunty's words very fishy so she tracked her location through her phone number and got to know about the wedding venue. She decided to go there immediately.

The pandit then told that sindoor has to be applied on the bride. Ranbir and Prachi knew this was the last step of their wedding . Ranbir found his happiness multiplying each second, Prachi too was ready to finally accept the wedding. Ranbir applied the sindoor and they prayed they will always be together till they die. Ranbir was pleasantly shocked to see Prachi smile at him and he grinned back.

Pragya, Rhea and Maya entered the venue at the same time. They were shocked to see this.

"Now this wedding is complete" said the pandit.

Just then a strong current of wind blew and prachi's gunghat was lifted to reveal her face. Everyone became shellshocked to see Prachi.

Pragya couldn't believe what was happening.

"Prachi" she shouted out loud and everyone looked at her.

Part 2:

Prachi felt ashamed when she heard her mother's voice. Pragya walked up to Prachi and started reprimanding.

"What's the meaning of this Prachi, you got MARRIED?? How could you not tell me about this? Have I ever said NO to you ??" Pragya asked.

Prachi felt helpless and was unable to say anything. She knew she did a huge mistake.

"Maa I-"

"No Prachi, I don't want any explanation. For the first time in my life I am ashamed to call you my daughter" Pragya said.

Abhi was listening to his conversation and he felt his world was turning upside down.

"Prachi refered to Pragya as her ma, oh my god, Prachi is my daughter!! How could I not recognise her" thought Abhi.

Maya's family started their usual tactics of showing their gun. Luckily, just at the time Abhi's men came with guns and moved Maya and her whole family out of the room.

Just then Rhea came and hugged her dad and sobbed at his shoulder. She was devastated about the wedding and kept saying dad.

Pragya heard this and turned to Rhea and Abhi. She realised Rhea is her other daughter. She had always felt a connection with her. Pragya felt like fainting and held on to Prachi for support.

Pragya and Abhi were too shocked to say anything. They just looked at each other and their daughters.

Aliya felt her whole life was over. Her whole plan had failed. She decided to take advantage of the shocked silence of Abhi and Pragya. She felt she could salvage atleast something. She went over to Rhea and whispered about telling Prachi about the bet with Ranbir. Rhea was happy hearing this. She went up to Prachi and Ranbir.

"Ranbir, what did you do? I only asked you to make Prachi fall in love with you and break her heart. You decided to get ahead of me. You faked so much love that she decided to get married to you. Well done, Ranbir" Rhea said.

"Ranbir, what is she talking about ?" Prachi asked. She trusted Ranbir and she knew Rhea will talk nonsense sometimes.

Ranbir couldn't believe what was happening. He never thought Rhea will sink this low. He wasn't able to form words in his mouth. He regretted deeply about not telling about the bet to Prachi.

"Prachi, don't ask him. I will tell you the truth. I asked Ranbir to fake love for you and make you fall for him. Then Ranbir would have to break your heart. This was my condition to Ranbir as he wanted to date me. If you don't believe me, ask Ranbir yourself." Rhea added.

"Ranbir, is the part about the bet true?" asked Prachi. Prachi knew there was definitely no bet but she simply asked as Rhea told her to.

Ranbir didn't know what to say. He hesitated and slowly said "Yes, but-"

Rhea quickly cut him off and said " So Ranbir, when are you going to sign the divorce papers? I am really happy about the way you broke her heart. Now , I am definitely ready to date you."

Prachi felt her life was falling apart completely. Her heart was shattered and she wasn't able to breathe. She trusted Ranbir so much and now she felt nothing. She wanted to escape this cruel world. She wanted to never see Ranbir again.

"So everything was a lie, you had no care or concern for me. You did everything for a stupid BET?? I trusted you more than I trust myself. I loved you more than I loved anyone else apart from my mother. I hate you Ranbir!!! I don't want to see your face ever again!!"

Part 3:

Pragya looked upon everything that was happening and she didn't understand why Ranbir had done all this. Prachi started crying on her shoulder. Pragya was too shocked to know Rhea had made this bet. She couldn't believe how spoiled Rhea had become in her absence. She felt angry at Abhi for not bringing Rhea to the right path and at the same time felt extremely guilty for leaving her.

Abhi felt sad seeing Prachi's tears though he felt that Rhea and Ranbir loved eachother that's why they had done all this to keep Prachi away. He felt very disappointed in them. Abhi had always been drawn to Prachi, he had always felt some connection. He looked at Prachi's innocent face and went to her. Prachi sobbed at his shoulder when he saw him. He felt so bad that he hadn't been able to protect her as a father.

Suddenly, fire from the mandap got caught on Pragya's saree and it started burning the very rapidly. Everyone screamed and Abhi was the first one to go to her and help extinguish the fire.

"Pragya, you gave me a fright. I thought I was going to lose you. I am never going to let you out of my sight again. I want to live with you and our daughters forever." Abhi said hugging Pragya.

Prachi and Rhea watched everything astonished. Prachi couldn't believe that Abhi sir was her own father. She felt like she was living in some dream. She was already feeling so numb after Ranbir's betrayal. She wanted to feel happy about knowing about her father but she couldn't feel any emotion after her heart was broken. It was hard not to wonder what her life would have been had her father been in her life.

Rhea was first very happy in knowing that Prachi's mother was her mother. She had always wished that someone like Pragya would be her mother. Then she started to feel jealous of Prachi and later felt angry. She felt Prachi took everything from her. First her mother , then Ranbir.

Prachi and Rhea went up to Pragya and Abhi who were still in a tight embrace. Their parents hugged both of them too. For a moment it seemed all blissful. Pragya touched Rhea's face with so much love. Rhea got so overwhelmed at all this but then she remembered how her mother choose Prachi over her. She remembered Aliya's words about how her mother had never cared about her.

"Get away from me. You had left me when I was born itself. Why are you in front of me now? I don't want to see you." Rhea screamed at Pragya.

Pragya started crying seeing her daughter's anger and felt helpless.

"Rhea, don't talk like that to your mother. It is only because of your parent's separation that Pragya had to leave you. She really loves you." Said Abhi.

"Separation happens between couples not KIDS!! She never bothered to even see me once. Even if I was dead, she would have never known about that. She never checked on my wellbeing. I don't hate anyone as much as I HATE HER!!! said Rhea.

Ranbir was shocked to witness all this. Prachi was his chief's daughter. He saw Prachi looking all pale and went to console her. He placed his hand on his wife's shoulder but she immediately brushed him off and shouted at him.

"I told you to stay away from me, right? Why did you come here?"said Prachi.

Pragya added "Ranbir, how could you do this? I didn't expect this from you."

In all this ruckus, Rhea quietly motioned her to father to come to a corner and speak with her alone. Abhi went hoping that he can convince her to accept Pragya.

"Dad, I really love Ranbir and he loves me too. I did all this because I was jealous of Prachi. Dad, you HAVE to support me and tell Ranbir to divorce Prachi and then get me married to him.

If you don't, I WILL COMMIT SUICIDE. I don't have anything left in life. Getting married to Ranbir is my only wish."

Abhi felt scared hearing this. He was extremely worried for Rhea. He reluctantly agreed and they both went back to Prachi and the rest.

"Ranbir, since you did all this I am ready to date you. Actually, I am even ready to marry you. So you get a divorce from Prachi now." said Rhea. She looked on to Abhi looking for support.

"Yes, Ranbir. Since you love Rhea there is no meaning of this marriage. Divorce is the solution."Abhi reluctantly added.

Pragya and Prachi was shocked hearing Abhi talk like this.

"How can you talk like this. You want to annul your own daughter's marriage. What kind of a FATHER are you?? Kiara too died because of you. You are so irresponsible!!" said Pragya.

"Kiara didn't die because of me. I tried my best to save her. Now I am trying to protect Rhea's life" said Abhi.

"So what about Prachi?? Does she not mean anything to you?? Prachi, let's go. Let's not stay a second more with these people. These people know only to break our trust. Nothing else." said pragya.

Shahana,Aryan and Rahul just then came there and witnessed all the fights. Pragya dragged Prachi and Shahana with her and beckoned Sarita aunty to leave with them.

Abhi was devastated seeing them leave. He got a flashback to when Pragya had initially left with Prachi. He was extremely angry with Rhea and then left the venue with her.

Ranbir broke down when Prachi left. He felt guilty, depressed, angry and worried all at once. He wanted to meet Prachi, tell his side of the story and ask for forgiveness but all he could do now was to sit on the floor and cry.

Part 4:

Prachi sat on the floor of her room and started crying. She remembered all her memories with Ranbir- how he cared for her, stood up for her and how loving he used to be.

"Was all that pretendance? It felt so real. How can Ranbir agree to such a bet, how can he think of breaking a girl's heart." thought Prachi .

Prachi wanted an explanation from Ranbir about how he thought of doing all this. She still couldn't believe it. Somewhere in her heart, she truely believed that Ranbir really loved her and he could never pretend about it.

Ranbir wanted to meet Prachi and explain his side of the story. He knew he should have spoken to Rhea after he fell in love with Prachi. He felt ashamed that he had agreed to such a horrible bet.

"I will go to Prachi's house and explain everything. I want to uphold this marriage but if Prachi doesn't want to I won't force her. I will wait for her to accept." thought Ranbir.

Ranbir went to Prachi's house and just when he was about to knock on the door, he thought twice about it. He wanted to speak to Prachi in private so he went through her bedroom window. He saw Prachi looking sad on the floor. He knew Prachi would be very angry with him but he felt like he deserved her anger. He then called out her name but Prachi didn't respond. He called out a little louder after that.

Prachi felt like she was hallucinating. She felt as if Ranbir was calling her. She heard it repeatedly and finally turned her head towards the window and to her surprise saw Ranbir there. Reluctantly she went to open it and let him in.

"Prachi, before you say anything. I just want to explain my side. It's true that I had initially agreed to Rhea's bet . It's because I was so stupid and immature at that time. I thought I loved Rhea and didn't like you much that time." said Ranbir.

"Ranbir, just because you don't like someone you don't have any right to BREAK their heart. How could you agree to that???" said Prachi.

"I am really sorry Prachi. You don't know how ashamed I am of it now. I had even thought of going about the plan but I wasn't able to do it. I never pretended in front of you. More time I spent with you, I really began to like you and later on it turned to love. I really love you Prachi. You can think whatever you want of me but please, I beg you, please don't think I pretended to fall in love wih you." said Ranbir.

Prachi remained silent hearing all this. She believed him seeing the honesty in his eyes. She did feel relieved but wasn't ready to forgive him. She needed more time to think and sort out her feelings.

"Prachi, I know you probably won't want to accept this marriage. It's ok, you can take all the time in the world and if you feel ready, always know that I will be waiting for you."said Ranbir.

Prachi thought about her marriage and the usual norm of staying with the husband and his family. She didn't want to leave her mother and go anywhere. She thought about her father and about how loving he was. She wanted to be around him. She did feel a slight nag about how he wasn't there for her in her early years but she was able to understand it was due to the circumstances. She felt bad for her mother because of how her sister Rhea treated her. She knew her mother loved Rhea. She wanted to bring Rhea and her mother closer. She wanted to bring her parents together and live with both of them.

"Prachi, I know that the usual norm is the bride coming to the groom's house but that doesn't matter. You don't have to come anywhere-

Prachi quickly interjected him "No, I am ready to come with you. I know if I come to your house, I can convince my mother to come as well. Then I will be able to mend my parent's relationship and also repair the bond between Rhea and my mother. I really can't see my mother crying"

Ranbir felt so happy hearing this. He almost laughed out loud. Seeing him smile wholeheartedly Prachi scowled.

"Don't think I forgave you. I am doing this only for my family. I want to see everyone happy and together."said Prachi.

Ranbir smiled and thought about how all his dreams came true. He became ecstatic when he thought of how Prachi was going to live with him forever. He knew Prachi was a very determined person. She is probably the only person who can reunite her parents and make Rhea come to terms with her mother.

"I will always stand with you and will support you in all your aspirations. I know you will be successful in your mission. Don't worry Prachi, your parents will reunite."said Ranbir.

Prachi half smiled seeing his genuineness. She was helpless to not fall in love with him. She had already accepted her marriage with Ranbir and after a little time she knew she would be able to love and accept him wholeheartedly.

Ranbir felt very emotional and felt tears of happiness in eyes. He still didn't believe that Prachi was going to come and live with him in his house. He knew everything will good from now. Whatever hurdles arise , he knew he would be able to overcome them as Prachi is there by his side. He felt everything is going to be alright. Chief really loved Prachi's mom so they definitely won't be able to stay cross with each other for long especially when they are in the same house. After months of tension around Maya, he was finally able to say that all is well.

Amazing! I just came across this and I completely loved it from start to finish. You have amazing writing skills I seriously think you should write a fanfiction on Pranbir. Also can you please continue this story, I just loved it completely. Please.
