Nach Baliye-winning couple Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh plan to auction the car – a Chevrolet Optra Magnum – that they won at Nach Baliye 3.
They will donate a part of the proceeds to the NGO Muskaan, with which they have been associated since their Nach Baliye days. The couple celebrated Valentine's Day with this NGO and during the Nach Baliye 3 competion the money from the voting used to go to it.The car is expected to fetch around Rs 20 lakh.
Aamir and Sanjeeda have known the NGO even before Nach Baliye 3. This NGO works mainly for children from slum dwellers and it is located in the south suburban area of Mumbai (Andheri East).This NGO provides free education and accommodation to the slum dwellers' children.
"It's a special car because it bears the signatures of some of the biggest celebrities in Bollywood who graced our show. It was a mutual decision to sell it through an auction. It's almost 2 years that Sanjeeda and I have been with this organization and we were moved with their support during Nach Baliye 3. It made us take this decision. Let's see how everything turns out as we are planning to do it by next week," Aamir said.
Aamir and Sanjeeda have always been fan favorites, and this gesture is bound to raise their popularity. Both currently work for Balaji; Aamir plays the lead in Kya Dil Main Hain, while Sanjeeda Sheikh playing a villain in Kayamath. Here's hoping more film and TV stars follow their lead!
