My sympathies on the boss troubles Nisha. You seem to be taking a lot of crap. Hope she gets moved to another position and you get a better boss.

She laid down the terms. He better get home on the weekend. I like confident she is. She knows who she is and what she wants.

The day I get another job will be the day I will stop thinking about this person. The brain is very clever that way

What's a long term relationship without an argument!! They are comfortable enough communicating and addressing it. When it comes to safety, there are no round one , round 2 ego battle wins. It's much the same like how Anubha gets dropped by Akash to the airport .....

Ah! The future that lies ahead of them, the feeling of coming home and the lovey dovey koochie coo....has it started sinking in yet!!

The next evening, He sent her pictures of take off,  and landing from what she could notice it was a luxurious plane with no seat in front

“Are you glad you get to get away from the smog?”

“Does it bother you a lot?”

“It did when I was younger… when I started wearing glasses, I would always have swollen soaking eyes”

“I am sorry”

“I developed immunity I guess” she sent a tongue in cheek

“What do you want me to bring you?”

“How long are you there for?”

“A week and a half”

“You said FEW DAYS” she was a little irritated

“I am sorry I should have told you, but plans changed this morning”

She put the phone down and went to eat dinner

A  wave of sadness washed over her, a lump forming in her throat

She took a shower, came out to realize she had burnt the dal

Papa was on a call with Fraud team again

Naina was still not talking to her but she made excellent rotis tho and she made a ton of them

Dadi wanted pooris

“dadi dal jala di maine, bahar se subzi aur dal boli hai”

“Mujhe itni tel waali jamegi nahi beta…. Alag se aur bana de”

Viveka was not happy

She started talking to Ma on the landline

“Will you be home Sunday around lunch beta?”

“Kyon?”

“Parashars are coming”

“Great”

“Kya hua”

“I think we should go the informal route ma”

“Shaadi ghar pe karogi kya?”

“I don’t care we can do it in the terrace”

“PAGAL ho? Bua kha jaayegi”

“Shaadi Bua se kar rahi hoon?”

Anubha laughed

“Papa kaha hain?”

“Naina se argue kar rahe hain conf call hold par karke”

“Kya hua?”

“Naina wants to go to Phuket with friends”

“Who ladka waha hai?”

“Who knows?” “she hasn’t spoken to me since the day I told her I am marrying Raanav” Viveka panted as she rinsed Dadi’s dal and set it in the cooker told Ma the dal fiasco

And how the whole house smelled like it

“Ma mere do papers due hain in 5 and 7 days”

“Just turn off the gas and let her eat take out”

“Wowww she is your MIL DUDEEE” Viveka mocked

“Pata hai mujhe aaj kya kehtin hain?” Anubha whispered

“Hmm?” Viveka paused holding a stirring ladle

“Agar tum judwa bachiyon ke baad meri baat maankar Naukri chhod deti to aaj Biveka aur Naina ka byah ho jaata”

“OMG… HOW do you take so much crap Ma?”

“Papa” Anubha sighed

“Did u tell him”

“Oh no… batana mat… he will get mad”

“I am sorry Ma” Viveka was emotional

“I am telling you… as women we have to prove ourselves every damn day Veev… we choose babies then we are wrong, we choose a career we are wrong, if we choose to have babies and have a career that’s the ultimate sacrilege”

“You have done great… I am so sorry” “U should continue working in advisory roles until 90” Viveka laughed

“I should… I love you jaan”

Viveka hung up and picked up the cudgels on behalf of Ma and went and told off Dadi, politely and pleasantly but did

Dadi made a big deal of it like Naina and began to cry

(Wonder where Naina gets it from?)

The dal got made, dinner, cleaning, and Viveka went to bed

She looked at her phone, he had called twice not 100 times, there was two texts

He was not a crazy stalker, he was not a blithering  lovesick kid

“Call me” said the first one

3 hours later “ Viveka?”

She called him when it was 1 AM ish

“Sorry dekha nahi” she lied

He knew she was lying since she owed him a bunch of real apologies for real things

“Busy?”

“Yeah… I burnt dinner and got into a fight with Dadi”

He laughed out loud

“What?”

“Nothing” he gasped

“U think I am  a soft,And unassertive?”

“The first… for sure” he chuckled

“dadi opened the door grumpy. “Biveka… suno beta”

“I cant really talk right now Dadi” “Abhin ahi Dadi” she said scowling

“I am doing hot guy shit!” she whispered without realzing the phone was not on mute

And he began to laugh hysterically

Abhi nahi dadi🤣

Go and sleep dadi🤣

And if u start ur family before getting settled in ur career, u have to prove in front of all every damn time that ur family is not burden for u😶😶😶😶

Time pe shaadi nahi ki tho answerable.... 

Time pe bacha nahi hai tho again will question ur decisions.... 

Agar family set karne ke baad career ke liye work karenge tho, then they will question whether u are leaving ur family back.... And u have to prove everytime that u have the caliber to balance both.... 😂😂

Why every thing at home became Viveka responsiblity.

Why Naina and other kids don’t help they are not small kids Naina is 27 year old but do not take responsibility. . If  Veev made  dinner some one else can clean.

Seems like Viveka is made to  opare in house

Naina actually made rotis, you know twins.... they are teens. some college level teens who are somewhat upper middle class only care about themselves and fashion😃
