This is my biggest problem when I saw people's reactions to it. I get their happiness, but from a woman's POV, the scene made no sense to me. For a woman like Riddhima, someone who has recently been turned into a widow, they need to show her having more regrets, and guilt over what's happening otherwise her love will be seen as being shallow/fickle again. We didn't see any of her inner conflicts when she was falling in love with Vansh, which made her love for Kabir seem hollow.

The bg music when she fell into Vihaan's lap and had the eye lock was another moment that irked me so much. That song is indicative of a deep love that she had grown to have for Vansh. To have it play with Vihaan in the scene - it just came off so wrong. The CVs are dropping the ball when it comes to showing Riddhima's emotional conflicts.

Exactly my points !

Riddhima just out of nowhere fell for Vansh.

And using the same bgm, eye lock with vihaan..I seriously didn't get it. I am lost there.

He might be Vansh. But for Riddhima he is Vihaan . Someone she have been knowing for I guess like 5-6 days ?

You explained my turmoil really well so I have hardly anything to add. All I can say... I am disappointed seeing the character degradation of Riddhima

There were very brief moments during the wedding sequence when she was questioning her changing feelings for Vansh, and I really wish they had expanded on that.

For the bgm, they could have just played an instrumental without any lyrics to it. Having those words play out while in his arms, left a sick feeling in my mouth. For the audience it's another thing cuz we all are assuming that he's Vansh, but Riddhu as a character doesn't have that assumption. She should be racked with emotional regret, but they're not touching upon that at all.

Once again, the biggest problem with Riddhu is the timeline. She was with Kabir for two years which is plenty of time to develop a really deep bond with someone. With Vansh, she was with him for about four months, and she spent half of that time hating him. Two months of attraction vs two months of her love for Kabir, and she got over it that quickly?

Then there's Vihaan. He's a bit tricky cuz he has the same face as Vansh, and he would be pretending to be him for long periods of time. So I can see her grieving process being stunted. And even if she does start to feel for Vihaan because of those factors, then they better show her conflict over it. Varna she'll be one of the most fickle hearted women on ITV.

Yes I remember those Ishaani's shadiwala time. They didn't spend much time on her changing feeling.

I feel like, the most neglected character of the franchise is Riddhima if you go by character narration. Vansh had a superb base and reason for his changing behavior towards Riddhima. But confusing at times though ! Kabir had tremendous monologues that made his stance clear. But for Riddhima I hardly see any character growth. Either she is spying, or getting abused by the family. Helly is a tremendous actor to make things believable for audience.

I had huge expectations from Riddhima's post Vansh track. I understand that Vihaan is a stranger ( buy okay to share the bed with whereas she didn't let her legally married husband to do that) and it's not easy to open up to him. But there at least could be some monologue where she remorse everything happening around. Being applied sindoor by a stranger or falling in lap or sharing bed. Nothing is there.

She really is. I guess that's why she frustrates me so much some times. In the beginning of the show, we understood her stance because we largely followed the story from her POV. But somewhere after the shootout, something shifted and we stopped getting those POV scenes. The show just became focused on targeting Riddhu, her crying, Vansh yelling at her etc. Yet, I managed to empathize with her only because Helly is so damn good at her job. If it had been anyone else, I wouldn't have.

I had expectations from her too. I wanted her to be stronger, and give back to everyone who wronged her - namely AP and Kabir - but she didn't do that. Yes, she brought Vihaan home but we can't even label it as her idea since Vihaan is the one who orchestrated the events that made him come into her radar in the first place. If he had never met her, then she would have never come up with the idea of bringing home an imposter because it would have never been a choice for her. What would she have done then? Would she have continued to cry and grovel, or worse, commit suicide whilst taking her vows? To me, she's coming off weaker than how she was first introduced.

Now with Vihaan, yes she's standing up to him in some ways, but in others, she's still very weak. Vihaan has all the leverage, and is playing her like a fiddle. She's not even considering the fact that Vihaan might not ever sign over the property in her name. After all, he's a money minded man, and he'll be inheriting an empire whose worth is in the billions. Why on Earth would he just hand all that over to Riddhu just so that he has to wait on his allowance? Riddhu needs to sharpen her mind, and toughen up by a lot. Varna, she'll just be used as a pawn again, which tbh, she already is.

gur is on a roll!😆

this line is me--> "Tadna toh free of cost hai.” bc i love to tadna at the amazing writings 😆

---interesting that you wrote this one because, as a reader, i get to question vihaan's actions that are compared to vansh in riddhima's POV which is in a predicament...sometimes his sarcasm does hit the already hot iron vs vansh who was mindful of the limitations on the bed

I know people are really happy that they are sharing a bed but I honestly expected better from Riddhima. Neither there was any remorse for Vihaan putting on sindoor nor any qualms sharing the bed with him.

Just something amiss. Maybe we expected too highly of the characters.

Interesting point. I don't watch the show after like 2 episodes b/c it's a classic trend, as audience, to be whiplashed from one point to another. I've seen that FLs just get portrayed in the dumbly on itv because their monologues aren't clear, courtesy of the writers. No proper introspection behind their actions. Just jumping from one track to another.

+1. THIS. Gur, I've wanted to see proper introspection or befitting response to the trauma they suffer or reflection behind their actions. But, no proper track, just running in circles behind the ML. I know, one more recent show (won't name it as it goes against IF COC) wherein the FL doesn't ponder over her actions but rather continues her delusional drama. The show had a good buildup but after it took a leap, her characterization was fully tarnished into pieces.

Loll, thanks Meena. 😆

Riddhu will always be in a predicament when it comes to ViVa. Both men are utterly mysterious, and they have a way of leaving her in a pool of guilt.
