I have enjoyed Swarg, Raja Babu, Coolie No. 1, Hero No. 1, Chal Mere Bhai (mainly fr the songs) and Partner.

David Dhawan started losing his touch with Chashme Baddoor. Even before his movies were problematic in their treatment of women. In his movies the men were always cheating/hoodwinking their naive bholi-bhali wives and girl friends and the gags always ran on how the men always escaped by a thin margin. Not only did they justify cheating but they also severely undermined the intelligence of women. Anyway they always took their cheating partners back after a proper grovelling. In Gharwali Baharwali the ending shows Anil Kapoor and his happy wives -all living together under one roof.😕

I enjoyed David Dhawan in my teens. My friends and I watched Judwaa so many times. His films are hilarious and a welcome break from monotony or heavier subjects. I enjoyed the Govinda-Karishma chemistry and shenanigans.

But everything has a time and place. David Dhawan films belong in the nineties. I will still rewatch his old ones. But his newer flicks just seem like desperate attempts to stay relevant.

No. I could barely tolerate his over the stop stuff back in the days and now that I fully understand how problematic most of the movies were I really don't like them.

not a fan but when you are dull and stress due to life and its complications and baggage his films brings smile and laughter at least that 2+ hours i can forget my problems and be happy...pure family entertainer

i love his 90s films though a few that help me smile when i was down coolie no 1 hero no 1 raja babu judwaa aunty no 1 dulhe raja biwi no 1 mr&mrs khiladi to name a few and these films are even fresh to watch now after so many years and brings a smile

new ones are yuck🤮

watched a few when Govinda was hero but that was for Govinda .
