Tenet is releasing this Friday on 4th December in India.

Are you interested in watching this movie in theaters? Are you willing to take the risk for this movie?

Last time when Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari opened to less than 1 Crore despite releasing on Diwali holiday, some people gave the excuse that movie wasn't interesting enough and would've flopped even without corona around.

This time, Tenet is an interesting film. Christopher Nolan is a brand himself. But his films don't do exceptional business in India.

Still his previous film Dunkirk did total business of 21 Crores in India, despite only releasing in English language.

Tenet is releasing in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. So it has scope for a broader audience, and some decent box office collections.

How do you think this movie will do at box office in India?

Looks like no one is interested in watching this movie either.

Yaha forum mein sabko bas celebs ki aarti utarni hain. Theater kisi ko nahi jaana hain.

Tenet has seen an excellent advance booking in India driven by sales on Imax. The advances opened over the weekend with some properties opening on Saturday and others on Sunday and it has sold around 25k tickets over the weekend which is an excellent number not just for a Covid19 period but even if we were not in covid19 this would be considered a very good advance.

If we compare with all releases this year then this is actually the best initial advance of the year as Baaghi 3 had similar sales over the weekend but a far larger number of screenings and Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior was under 20k tickets in its first weekend. Its unlikely Tenet can get the sort of sales by Thursday that Baaghi 3 or Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior did but in terms of tickets sold against tickets available the ratio will be far higher.

Obviously the demand has come for Imax tickets as these for a huge chunk of the advance sales and these are limited which could restrict the advance over the next few days but even if Tenet had got 25k tickets the evening before release that would have been a good result in these times. Here it has done over the weekend and has four more days to rack up some more sales.

There have been a few flickers in regional cinema since the return of cinemas in October but Tenet is the biggest flicker so far in these pandemic times and hopefully there will be even better results over the next few months. Tenet is sure to get some good footfalls over the weekend and then if appreciation is there it could even put up a healthy final total.

Audience is coming in theaters for a Hollywood movie.

Ab Bollywood ke corona ka excuse toh gaya.
