I agree with him. In urban areas and those outside India, most people watch TV shows on some hand held device or laptop. And it's a matter of few more years when those in rural area will do the same.

People having smart TVs and devices like Tata Sky binge (who don't need a smart TV) watch the same TV shows through streaming platforms.

We have Tata sky binge and our TV is a normal led, Bravia. Not smart one.

So Amhi just sundara TV var bagto ani matches star sports var.

We've taken only some Marathi channels and Vh1 and star sports on Tata Sky. That's it. We pay monthly 300 for binge and I've prime and Netflix subscription with a few friends cos those shows I prefer on phone. My parents aren't into web series.

I have not read that article but it seems that Chinmay Mandlekar doesn't seem to

understand the nature of the beast.

The only advantage that shows transmitted over internet(webseries) have over TV is individualization and control meaning subscribers can chose what they want to see and when they want to see with services like Netflix and Amazon.

But it is a costly affair, you not only have to pay for subscription you also have to pay for the internet connection and how much you can watch depends on your plan.

A basic cable connection gives you 100+ channels at about 250Rs and you can watch anything (telecast by the broadcasters)and as much as you want.

I guess, also there just isn't enough bandwidth in the world for everybody to ditch TV, that is why Netflix has also been trying to start a regular TV channel.

पूर्वी ज्या serials होत्या त्या मध्ये बहुतांश पुणे, मुंबई ची लोक काम करायची, मग ते लेखन असो direction असो आणि बाकी गोष्टी असोत. त्या मुळे ना दर्जा हा automatically वरचा होता.

आता बऱ्याच serials या गाव खेड्यातल्या दाखवल्या आहेत. तुम्ही त्यातली नट मंडळी बघा. काय तो अज्या, शितली.

आता तो करभारी च्या सिरीयल मधली ती हिरोईन.. अरे तिचा तर चेहरा त्रिकोणी आहे. मागे इकडे एक मेंबर त्या ऋतुजा ला काहीतरी बोललं होता.

म्हणजे मला पण हेच म्हणायचे आहे की हे लोक हिरो, हेरॉइन वाटतच नाहीत. त्या राणा ला तर acting अजिबात येत नाही. chyd मध्ये तर त्या राणा ला किती टोमणे मारतात.

I know की त्यांचा पण एक प्रेक्षक वर्ग आहे, त्याचे ही हजारो, लाखो फॅन्स आहेत.

पण तरीही ना कुठेतरी हे एक कारण आहे झी मराठी मातीत जाण्याचं.

नवीन लेखकांना संधी मिळत आहेत(शिरसाट किंवा लांजेकर, किंवा प्रवीण तरडे), ग्रामीण गोष्टी सुद्धा लोक तितक्याच आवडीने बघत आहेत, या सगळ्या गोष्टी जरी कबूल केल्या ना तरीही content च्या बाबतीत बराच गोंधळ आहे.

अगबाई, माझा होशील ना मध्ये तर कसलेले कालाकार आहेत, तरीही त्या सेरिअल्स अतिशय वाईट चालू आहेत.

In My Opinion, it is not a problem to express your views even if some people don't agree with you. That is why all of us are here, to express our opinion.

If people can act then looks don't matter most of the times. Om Puri was not exactly handsome.

Fortunately or unfortunately I have not seen KLB so cannot comment about KLB.

Zee marathi matit geli ahe karan tyancha content farach khalchya level var gela ahe. Tyala kahi arthach nahi rehila ahe.

I think if the serial is good it transcends all kinds of division including rural-urban one.

In Hindi there are some stars who never chose to do TV, Anil Kapoor is one of them, even though some of the biggest stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit chose to do TV.

abt madhuri ,she prefers dance reality shows as that gives her that money which now a days ,no hindi film will offer her as now she is not that madhuri of 90's and for other stars ,there is ott platforms where we can see so many flop srtars from bollywood who couldnt do much in their career.

Apart from KBC Amitabh Bachchan starred in an Anurag Kashyap TV show titled Yudh or something like thatwhich I think did not do quite well.

Madhuri Dixit also acted in 1980's in one episode of TV show Paying Guest along with Benjamin Gilani. I don't know if it was before or after Abodh. She is doing a web series with Sanjay Kapoor produced by Karan Johar.
