No, in later flashbacks they showed Abir clearly saw her face when she was getting up on the bus and he saw her from the side at the temple too. On Holi day he identified her as the angry chorni he had encountered the night before.

Episode 54 last part

RJVs arrived at Mah house. Why is Jas buttering up Meenu telling her she’s looking extra beautiful? 😕 BM chides her and greets Meenu

Kunal asks nanu why he’s behaving weirder than usual?😆 Jas pulls Kunal aside and tells him to give gifts to Katrina chachi everyday and she will convince Mishti to get the surgery

Kunal asks who’s Katrina chachi ?🤣 Jas says it’s her, and Abir is better than Kunal as he keeps on praising her. Why was Jas behaving like a giddy teenager? 🤪 I I think she was so eager to get rid of Mishti she was trying to make Kunal Meenu and all RJVs happy so the wedding happens! Varsha chides Jas and calls Kunal for the Tilak. Kunal looks seriously at Kuhu and vice versa. Kuhu goes up to bring Mishti

Meenu tensed thinks Naman should reach within 15 minutes. Parul brings gifts on a tray for all of them. Meenu says they’re return gifts and gives the tray to BM who asks where is Abir? Kunal says he also has same question, where is bhai? Ketu jokes Kunal should be asking about Mishti

Jas says she will bring Mishti and Kuhu down, Meenu says she will find out where Abir is.

Kuhu can’t see Mishti in the room and says now she’s missing like her personality🤢. Jas thinks Mishti has eloped, she panics and relates a daily soap story of how Kuhu will now have to hide her face with dupatta and get engaged to Kunal then Mishti will return with a different face and ruin her life. 🤣
Kuhu asks what is she blabbering, Jas says that’s what would happen in a daily soap. (Writers made fun of trashy daily soap here) Kuhu berates Jas snd tells her not to tell anyone downstairs, she sends jas away.

Mishti is outside staring at the photo and recalling Kunal’s questions about her past. Kuhu comes and starts taunting her if she should call a cab or lend her running shoes so Mishti can run away? Why is she standing there like a statue? Kuhu says it’s better if she runs away as she never said a good word about Kunal, she doesn’t value him, she doesn’t deserve him!

Mishti tells her to calm down, she’s not running away! Mish says Kuhu doesn’t know what the situation is here! Kuhu tells her she came to get her as everyone is waiting and here Mishti is planning to run away! Mish says she’s not escaping, Kuhu says then why’s she standing there, like a drama Queen!
Kuhu asks Mishti if she loves Kunal or even wants to marry him? Nanu is there listening to them waiting eagerly for Mishti’s reply. Mishti silently wonders if Kunal still loved that girl, she doesn’t reply to Kuhu and goes inside. Nanu thinks it’s clear that Mishti doesn’t love Kunal or want this GD, he has to save Mishti Kunal and Abir all three! He has to stop the GD 🥳

Abir on the bus top thrilled after reading her diary tells his fellow passengers that she loves him or at least possibility is there. He blabbers how Mishti thinks she sometimes understands Kunal but that’s not Kunal it’s him! But she doesn’t understand that! (How will she when both of you have fooled and misled her?)

He asks the others if they understood him, they look confused. Abir says she likes him! The bus lurches on a stone and Abir almost falls, a guy tells him to be careful that he doesn’t fall, Abir says he’s not afraid of falling now! A girl asks now what will happen? Abir says he will go back and tell Kunal that Mishti isn’t right for him but for Abir! She did courtship with Kunal but likes Abir!
The girl said like Kuch kuch hota hai, she got engaged with salman but liked SRK thank God Kajol realized it in time! Abir said Mishti will also realize it! Abir and the girl do Hi5! Abir says he has to return and tell her everything! He yells the bus to stop!

Why did that girl have to add, he’s the hero of the story, he has to win and defeat the villain Kunal! Ho Gaya satyanash!

The bus leaves him on the road, Abir says Kunal is not the villain, Kunal is his brother, the most adorable brother! He throws down his backpack in frustration.

Meenu is fretting why Naman hadn’t reached yet. Parul tells her she gave the matli to Lakshman who’s waiting exactly where Naman was supposed to meet him but he didn’t reach yet. He’s not even answering phone calls.

BM nervous about the truth tells BP they will tell everyone right after the Tilak,🤪 Shaurya tells her to be tougher as people will guess from her face that she’s tense. He tells his mother to cheer up as it’s the happy occasion of her daughter’s engagement and all others are being cheerful. BP tells her not to worry nothing bad will happen.

Mishti comes downstairs with Kuhu, everyone cheers up to see her, Mishti is still thinking about the photo! Mami exclaimed how pretty Mishti was looking just like her photo that Abir had clicked, ❤️ Ketu agrees and hugs Mishti

Nidhi puts her foot in the mouth again, says when alliance began Kuhu was supposed to be Kunal’s wife, now she’s going to be the saali

Kuhu looks angry, Varsha holds her hand to calm her.

BM takes the RJVs away to be seated, Mishti asks Kunal how he’s doing, he says better than yesterday, he asks her the same, she’s silent still pondering over that photo. Why didn’t she ask him then about it? She’s so hesitant just afraid if Rishta breaks how will BM react? BM is keeping her eye on Mishnal, looking tense!

Episode 55

A tense and nervous BM asks Mishti if Kunal asked her anything. Mishti asks Kunal where’s Abir? Parul tells Meenu that Mishti didn’t see the photo yet. Meenu says doesn’t matter, once Naman enters this house victory is mine! But where’s Naman?

Abir thinks if he tells Kunal about his feelings for Mishti his heart will break, if he doesn’t then Mishnal will get into a loveless marriage.

Abir can’t decide what to do, he chides himself for listening to his heart and falling for Mishti of all people!
He kicks his backpack in frustration and nanu’s phone falls out. He sees Kunal calling and answers it.
Nanu is at the other end, he tells Abir to come at once, Abir asks why?

Nanu says he’s seen Mishti isn’t happy, she doesn’t want the GD or this alliance. Nanu says he cares for both of them and this alliance is as wrong for Kunal as it’s right for Abir! Nanu says Kuhu asked Mishti if she loved Kunal and she didn’t reply.
Abir remembers he asked Kunal the same question and he didn’t answer. Nanu tells Abir to return immediately if not to confess his own feelings then to save Kunal from a wrong alliance. Nanu says Abir shouldn’t wait for a divine signal but just come back!

Right then a group of boys dressed up as Vanar Sena for Ramayana play pass by Abir and their boy Hanuman touches Abir’s hair like a blessing

Abir takes that as a sign from God! Abir tells nanu he’s coming back

Nanu tells Koshlu to do something, Meenu also tells him to do something. Obviously both told him to delay the Tilak with some entertainment, both buying time!

Koshlu makes an announcement on this Tilak/GD there will be a special performance. Ketu is nervous that her father will do a solo dance number but Koshlu says they will all share their experiences, some good memories of their own Tilak or sagai or GD

Abir thinks happily that he’s going back to fix things that he’s made wrong!

Koshlu says before his GD...Ketu adds he had asked nanu not to show his photo to Nidhi afraid that she would reject it.

Mishti wonders where’s abir she needs to ask him if she should talk to Kunal about the photo. Kunal wondering what’s wrong with Mishti? She’s lost in her thoughts.

Meenu tells everyone that Bapuji tells the best stories. Nanu starts his story telling session.

Abir hurrying back home, calls an auto but Naman leaves in the same auto. Abir desperately thinks he has to reach Mishti somehow!

Nanu wondering how much longer he has to blabber nonsense! Meenu wonders why Naman is so late! Nanu telling his own wedding story that his wife Sucheta was supposed to marry someone else, she reached the mandap but her heart was against it. If the heart resists then one shouldn’t listen to the world. She ran away from the mandap. She told nanu after their marriage and he had said he only cares about her present not her past.

Uh oh Mishti took this advice as in she shouldn’t worry about Kunal’s past, She looked at Kunal and smiled, thinking that she will focus on their present not his past.

Naman arrives with the pot and greets everyone. Mish and all maheshwaris are shocked to see him.

Abir buys a bike from a guy in exchange for his watch!

Naman introduced himself to Kunal as Mishti’s father. BM looks terrified!
Naman asks everyone why they’re looking at him strangely? He’s come to do the ceremony of giving gifts to his Damad . BP tells him they have done the ritual already. Naman tells BP they both are Devki and Yashoda to Mishti. He says BP is great, he brought up Mishti but Naman is her real father so he has a right to do this.

Naman looks at Meenu flaunting her loud jewelry and thinks Mishti’s sasuma seems to be very rich. Naman puts down the pot and folds his hands at Meenu’s feet. Kunal asks what is he doing? Naman says he’s done really bad things and wronged Mishti but his good deed was to have a wonderful daughter like her

Naman begs Meenu to give permission for him to do the Chandlo Matli ritual. Meenu tells him he’s Mishti’s father so she has no right to stop him. Mishti wanted to stop Naman but BM stopped her. Meenu thinks everything going according to plan, now Parul has to do her part.

Parul lets Lakshman in through the back door,(back door mil Gaya) he says he’s ready and will wait for their signal. Parul tells him he shouldn’t get caught and Naman shouldn’t know that he brought him here on BenBa’s orders.
Lakshman says he’s been working for Meenu Ben for many years and nobody knows about him, Naman thinks he’s connected to Mah family and after learning about Mishti’s GD he brought him here out of pity. Parul tells him to start his job

Abir racing back on the bike!

Naman tells Kunal giving gifts to a rich guy like him makes him feel like Sudama. Koshlu tells nanu this guy is so pure minded he only talks about Yashoda Devki and Krishna Sudama,😆 nanu calls him idiot and wonders why is Abir taking so much time to return?

Naman asks Kunal to accept his gifts. BM worries that he might do harm to Kunal, BP assures her he won’t try anything in front of so many people, he’s just doing drama

Mishti stops Naman from giving Kunal the first gift, Kunal says let him complete the ritual, Mishti says my father completed this ritual already, the right to be a father belongs to the one who has fulfilled the duties of a father, like her BP has done, she’s proud to be his daughter!

Mishti takes the Radha Krishna idol from Naman and gives it to BP saying he will give it to Kunal

Naman says as a daughter she had the right to be angry, he gives Kunal a box of sweets from the pot. But Kunal doesn’t take it, then Naman asks BP to give it. Parul returns and signals Meenu that job is done.

Naman acting emotional says he had planned to leave after giving the matli but he’s a father and wants to see the ceremony. BM tells Shaurya to throw Naman out, Meenu thinks they can’t get rid of this nuisance so easily, nothing can stop her now from executing her plan.
Abir riding home panics he might be too late! Nanu reminds Atul he had danced at a party, Atul says yes after watching it nanu had wished he had donated his eyes before that. 😆
Atul says he’s an expert dancer, nanu tells him to dance and keep everyone engaged till Abir comes. Jas taunts Nidhi that first her husband was doing comedy, now her son is going to dance, her family is full on drama. Nidhi taunts back they’re still learning drama from them.

Meenu also tells Atul something, obviously the same as nanu, both want to delay Tilak for different reasons, nanu to wait for Abir’s arrival and Meenu to buy time for setting up a trap for Naman.

Atul and Koshlu start dancing to Mast Kalandar, Kuhu, Ketu and kunal, nanu join later

Naman comes near BM and tries to blackmail her again saying she owes him some money from before and she should give it or else he will do worse drama now. Shaurya comes and scares Naman away.

Lakshman messaged Meenu he’s found the lever to the chandelier.

Ketu pulls Mishti to dance, Kuhu pushes her towards Kunal, KuKu collide and stare at each other. Meenu signals Parul who sends message to Lakshman but the lever gets stuck. Was Meenu planning on the chandelier to fall on Mishnal?!! 😲

Parul calls Naman but he drops his phone, Meenu is so desperate, she crawls on the floor to rescue his phone and her hand gets stomped on by dancing feet. 😆Meenu gives phone to Parul who gives it to Naman

Everyone is dancing, Meenu glancing up expecting chandelier to fall on Mishti or Kunal?

Abir runs in, nanu jubilant to see him, he whistled! Ketu twirled Mishti she spins around and falls into Abir’s arms!

bold and italics - have to give it to them, no matter how inconsistent writing, they didnt go for Cliché tracks like both sisters falling for same guy or both brothers falling for same girl or memory loss etc 😛

I think mish didnt ask then becuase they were surrounded by so many people and were almost going to get engaged. Though, she should have called him before and asked, as soon as she saw the photo. Like he had called.

Oh God the kids on the PS are so damn annoying, it’s great our show didn’t have any kids
