Suhasini dadi reminds me of Gayatri( natik's mom)

She does remind of her.She also never respected the Maheshwaris and was angry with Akshara all the time .

Her respect and love for Akshara and Maheshwaris used to be there only according to convinience.

She wanted her daughter to be her always but used to create a scene when Akshara used to visit her house.

I never liked it. She always had problems with everything just like suhasini dadi.

Gayatri's nature was complex yet realistic.

She had genuine insecurities and doubts . She was a strict yet loving parent , I remember akshara rashmi Naitik everyone used to be scared of her . She used to scold her kids when they used to disobey her . She was reluctant for sending rashmi to abroad not like she want to keep her with her . She used to realise and apologize if she is wrong.

On the other hand Suhasini dadi is dominating and hypocrite , she has a big ego . The pride she hold make her look down everyone . Basically she enjoys making other person feel low . I remember how much ladki wala - ladka wala she did during kaira marriage.😈

We can't compare gayatri ma and Suhasini dadi

Gayatri did had some flaws but she was not evil by heart , she knew what is ryt n wrong and there were many times she stood for akshara ( ex: during naksh adoption time , she thought about akshra rather than Nandini) .

We can never imagine dadi doing something like this .

Exactly!! Gayatri Singhania cannot be compared with this evil Suhasini dadi. Gayatri was way way much better person than hypocritical Suhasini goenka....

Gayatri was realistic and loving. That phase of the show was so much more relatable.

It is the characters like Suhasini Goenka( Played by Swati Chitnis) are the core reasons why this YRKKH has become crappy and intolerable. Her presence itself is so negative in the show. Very dominant and non likeable character. They should better end it if they want to improve Kartik and Naira's life.

I agree too (not with title of the topic but with the replies). Singhanias and Mahesshwaris had their issues and the characters were relatable and made sense. But both the families were better. They treated each other with respect and politeness. Gayatri was not perfect but she was nowhere near any of the Goenkas. She was way better than the k dadi. In fact i never like the goenkas and don't even appreciate karthik anymore for having turned into a pakka goenka.

Gayatri was not classist. Nor was she dominating. She evolved over the years and even supported akshara when she began to work to support the family, even after naitik recovered. Yes she didn't like chikki at first but due to different reasons. She treated chikki better nevertheless.

K dadi and her son are classless, tasteless breeds of high society.

Stopped watching this show. Too negative, repetitive and dragging for me. It should end

SUHASNI REMINDS ME OFF BHABHIMAA the way she hated naira was how Bhabhimaa always had strong opinions of Akshara when she first entered

I always felt she was unnecessarily strict with Akshara and just expected Akshara to adjust and follow the norms from the first entry !!

Gayatri had some very very annoying traits. She would get angry/blame/jump to conclusions about Akshara in an instant. She said some very scathing and horrible things too directly on Ak’s face sometimes even blaming Naitik’s “change” after marriage.

When Naksh was born, my goodness! She was so irritating- care for grandchild is one thing but berating Ak, Rajshree for everything, even 1 year old Ananya. That’s not the characteristics of a good person. She had problem with everything - even if ak’s parents gift Naksh something. This behavior continued till Naksh grew up (5-6 yo)
It would be so suffocating living with someone like Gayatri, you’ll have to keep constantly babysitting her emotions, her needs.

But in between all that, she did have her plus points.

Gayatri Singhania was the MOST realistic character of Yeh Rishta in my opinion.

Gayatri was the most annoying character in old YRKKH days and she was so mean to Akshara during her initial days. And she went totally crazy once Naksh was born going all lalla lalla but still she is far better than Kdadi. Yes she used to be irrational at times but she also supported Akshara and apologized. Even she took her time to accept Chikki but afterwards she became like a mother to Chikki. Furthermore, she didn't do horrible things like sex determination like Kdadi.
