How many here learnt a new jugaad of ironing clothes with a frying pan in case clothes iron is not available thanks to Jasmin?😆

Have seen Rahul doing it when he was red zone.. not sure who came up idea though !

It’s a pretty known and old-fashioned jugaad.


My late grandmother would fill an aluminum matka with boiling hot water, seal the top with a padded cloth to create insulation and retain heat (and of course to protect herself from any accidents), and press the fabric back-and-forth with gentle strokes.


Another jugaad was by my uncle. He’d fill a tin container with super-hot red fiery coals. He wouldn’t seal the top because the sealant could catch fire.

yeah I remember seeing rahul doing it and I think I saw another contestant as well in the red zone doing I don’t remember the exact situation or video

yeah have seen these in some movies too .. but tava thing was new to me.. should try once to see if that actually works 😊

It will work on softer fabrics like satin, 100% cotton, or even chiffon, but there’s always a chance it’ll burn the fabric, because the heat is not regulated. It’s directly from the stove to the fabric top.


It will work on formal clothes, shawls, etc. but will onky remove the wrinkles. There is a possibility that the creases will not be pressed to perfection.
