oh really? He saw the movie and thats why suggested me to read it

there are 3 books right? is there a movie only for the second one?

How is reading Anxious People going for the ones who have started it?

Hello Anam..

I have finished it and I have to thank you for picking this book. I loved it. Although I suppose I must wait to tell you guys why I loved it 😂. I wasn't able to read the picks of September and October due to my exams but I'm so glad to have finished this month's book

Umm.. Sorry for jumping into the conversation but I think there is a movie adaptation of red dragon as well. Ralph Fiennes is in it.

You guys are finishing Anxious People, and I just finished The Shining.😆

I have to say, I loved it. I found it scary in some parts and a total drag in others. It took me so long to cover those slow parts but I do understand why they were necessary. It is only the second horror story I've read so far (the other being Carrie), so I don't have a lot to compare with but I liked it a lot better than Carrie, which wasn't scary at all.

About the characters: I liked Jack and Hallorann the best. I'm still not sure if Jack had any shining. Wendy was just an okayish character and Danny's character was nice except at some points throughout the story I felt like he spoke and acted like a much older child than he was supposed to be in the story, even before the Overlook incidents which I assume must have forced him to grow faster in those two or three months they were there.

Overall, I'll give it 4 stars.

I have yet to pick up the anxious people. Lord save me. but hopefully will do tomorrow and finish before the reviewing day. Couldn't read the shinning due to some reasons but don't want to miss this month's read by anything. Fingers crossed and mind made 😃

I just finish The fault in our star. I don't know what to say about this book. It's good, but it's too sad, too tragic.

Hey Aparna!

Glad to see you back here. Hope your exams went well. I’m glad you liked Anxious People. I finished reading the book last night. We can discuss the book in another 5 days.

Aparna, have you read the books in the series? Red Dragon as a movie was good. Despite being the prequel to The Silence of the Lambs it was made into a movie after the stupendous success of the TSOTL.

@Unique.Sheep: If you have to choose between watching the movies or reading the books, for once I’d suggest watching the movies instead.
