I do agree most of what Kusum said was the truth, esp the part where she said how Preeti is trying to hold on to her ex-husband’s side of relationship who was horrible towards her, but she doesn’t give priority to the relationships she chose on her own, KT and Kusum. I am glad that Kusum gave that much needed reality check to Preeti, which made her realize that she did wrong to KT.

Having said that, I do feel that Preeti wasn’t entirely wrong when she told Kusum that she will not let anyone take decisions regarding her life, not even Kusum. I was actually shocked when Kusum was the one encouraging KT and Preeti to get married, which of course comes out of good intentions, but that doesn’t make it right. Kusum was wanting them to get married, but Preeti doesn’t want to get married because if she did, that would be like accepting those allegations that was thrown at her. Also, why should she get married just to please the society. So, I get Preeti’s perspective regarding what she said to Kusum and how she stood her ground to not let anyone take decisions of her life. However she was completely wrong in not trusting KT and misunderstanding him.

In love with your comment. I could not agree more. Preeti was right in her place with ending the marriage convo. I know Kusum's intentions were of both Preeti and KT's best interests. However it was totally the wrong time to bring it up. She earlier dropped a hint to KT which was fine. Dropping a few hints to them privately was the way to go. Kusum was reckless with what she said. Even though her heart was in the right place. But she should have known how Preeti would have reacted. Surely. Preeti's words may have hurt her, but Preeti did not have any choice in that situation. Like she said. She can't prove her innocence by committing the crime she has been wrongly accused of. It would mean proving that dumb shit Baldev right. Preeti should have had more trust in KT and asked him privately what the truth is. She should not have even considered breaking the business partnership. However in her situation, she was under pressure and was severely upset and angry. KT however should not have blurted out the truth about his marriage in front of everyone. Ultimately, that made the situation worse for Preeti. If Rati was insisting he call his wife, he could have called a number that he knew would not be answered or be switched off and then tell everyone that she isn't answering. Then he should have told Preeti the truth in private. Him blurting it out in pressure was silly. He could have said anything, like the time difference in london would mean she is busy or sleeping or something. Then he could have secretly left to go back home to avoid the confrontation, thus making it a little easier for Preeti. And also, why the hell did no one investigate the bed and the door?? Kusum should have looked and showed Bua Sa that someone did it on purpose to tarnish KT and Preeti's reputation.

I feel everyone had their own reckless moment there. But in such a heated situation, I guess the idea is that you can't fully think properly and mistakes can be made. I like the fact that Preeti made a mistake, because it adds depth to her character. And makes her more real. Atleast now she can learn from her mistake and now that she regrets her actions, her respect and trust for KT will only grow. Which is ultimately what everyone wants.

Agreed!!!

Kusum suggesting them to get married in that situation was absurd and quite frankly pretty stupid. Even I was shocked because that was so out of Kusum's character lol. Writers missed the mark there.

Her words today were so on point, I love how she put Preeti in her place and especially pointed out that the 'mahaan title' is not something to vie or die for. I also loved how she called Preeti out for her double standards and for not appreciating or understanding the value of true friendship, an important relationship that is so hard to come by and that is of Preeti's own choosing.

@bold, that is so true. I love that dialogue.

Kusum is the character I have been waiting for in an Indian serial. Lady says is it is, love her character. Doesn't take anyone's nonsense. I was hoping some her amazing attitude would rub off on Preeti but it hasn't.

I love how Kusum can easily read people and is so accurate. Preeti isn't prioritizing the good people in her life but the bad.

I enjoy hearing Kusum roast Preeti's nalayak son and daughter in law. Those scenes are the best!

I love Kusum. She’s my favorite character, but:

Actually in this case Kusum was the one in wrong to have suggested that KT and Preeti get married in such a situation... though it was out of good intentions, it was not the time and place to suggest that. Kusum should have known better. Kusum was wrong here period.

Preeti was justified to have lashed out at the village people/kusum that she is not going to get married to prove a point to society. She can't prove her innocence by committing the crime she has been wrongly accused of. She might have been rude to Kusum but she was justified in her decision to stand firm against getting married to KT. Eventually, Kusum did lash out at her, Preeti realized and apologized so they are back to being what they were before (best friends). This only makes Preeti a human, it makes her real. She did some mistakes, realized and is trying to correct the err of her ways.

Preeti was definitely wrong to have misunderstood KT and not hear his side of the story as to why he might have lied. She was impulsive in making a decision that she will leave SM and KT after this last project because she was put in that situation, and she made an impulsive decision without hearing out KT. There’s still some trust issues between KT and Preeti... KT misunderstood Preeti during Goplani’s incident, Preeti misunderstood KT during this village incident. Nonetheless, Preeti was definitely wrong to have not trusted KT, so she needs to really apologize to him for this, which it seems she’s already trying to do.

Anyway all these three characters, KT, Kusum and Preeti have their own flaws, and imperfections and that’s what makes them human, that’s what makes them real!!

Looking forward to how this tracks plays out.
