So far, this show's writing has exceeded all my expectations. The flip side, may be due to watching crapfests for years, my expectations were so low to begin with. 🤣
The 21st November episode was a PERFECT one for me. There were so many good things about it.
1. The PAKHI Angle: I thought that like all other book-smart-yet-otherwise-dumb female leads, Sai will not figure our the Virat and Pakhi connection until she falls for him. The way I thought it would pan out is, Sai will forgive Virat and accept him wholeheartedly but then find about Virat's feelings for Pakhi and then this will cause her to be distant from him again. Thank heavens , this won't happen. Being the smarty pants that Sai is, she has already figured it all out. 👍🏼
2. A SENSIBLE Sai : Just after the death of her Aaba, Sai said the most hurtful and horrible things to Virat, holding him responsible for Aaba's death. I am happy that now that she has somewhat come to terms with his demise, she is also acknowledging that Virat has saved her life twice, something which she never did before. This means that she has always known it and somewhere also always been grateful to him but her ego has never let her fully thank him. It would've been super convenient for the CVs to go on a 100% nafrat track but yay, this is so nice to see! ❤️
3. The CLARITY on Where They Stand: Again, in almost 99% ITV shows, the hero and heroine get married under idiotic circumstances without fully being happy about it but NEVER have I seen such clarity in a show before. In every marriage of compromise, we've seen that ONE party works super hard to make the marriage last for LIFE and will be mouthing heavy saat vachan- saat phere dialogues but the CVs have been brilliant with this. Both Sai and Virat know where they stand in each other's lives, know to not have any expectations and have agreed that this relationship is for only as long as Sai needs Virat. 🤗
There were SO many things excellent about today's episode but I think the majority of the credit should go to the writers for being as realistic as possible, trying to avoid unnecessary melodrama and mostly for not insulting our intelligence. They have understood Sai and Virat's situation well and are trying to portray it as well as they can.
Lastly, this post will be incomplete without mentioning Neil and Ayesha.
Neil, as always, was so on point but massive kudos to Ayesha Singh who has been drastically improving as an actress and keeping up with Neil. If these two continue their fabulous work, we're in for a treat. 🥳
