Okay but what exactly is going on in India right now? First, they banned TikTok and PUBG and stuff over concerns of ties to China, now they're going after Twitter? How are they justifying this one? Moreover, why is this their concern during the pandemic? It honestly feels like governments worldwide are just taking advantage of the drama caused by COVID-19 to further their own agendas. And more and more it looks like the agenda of the Indian government is to stifle free speech and choice, especially that of the youth.

Here's the thing though, these buzz words like "Hinduphobic", "Antinational", etc. are just used to curb public dissent. They want to create a narrative where they aren't trampling free speech and democratic liberties but saving a nation. But ask people in Russia, China, Hong Kong, and North Korea exactly how heroic their leaders were once they cemented their power. Our democratic rights, our freedom of religion, autonomy over our bodies, right to safety and health, and our outlets for free speech are the most sacred things we have, and we all need to band together to protect them.
