So sick of this concept...

one of the biggest issues I have seen with women is the right of ownership in these ITV shows

Woman always belong to others ..they either are the daughter of a man,wife of a man,sister to a man, DIL to a whole house where men are served like babies (can’t people get their own damn food??)

Wth is it with this idiotic concept of ownership? This concept that a persons pride is immediately attached to woman that they must keep under them ?

Why are women allowing this to happen in these stupid ITV shows

Preeti is a joke ...she takes a baby step forward and 5 back

Why is she allowing her dead husbands Bua and their household to dictate her life???

As a person born in UKI hope I do not sound rude. But StarPlus is not for you. You can watch webseries instead they have more strong storylines along with women empowering and owning themselves. STARPLUS is a soap drama show just live any other American and British soaps. SOAPS and DRAMAS are different. Soaps can go on for ever and have funny storylines and random death and coming alive etc.

You just need to accept. That STARPLUS is a traditional yet trying to push a modern agenda. Pretti is learning to adapt and she even stated she could sent him to court if she wanted to. People take time to evolve and I even know personal people who are so naive that people tread all over them and still say nothing so go to steps ahead and then back. You cannot change overnight.

What is bad about women being wives to their husband. Being a mother in law. Owning her house and running it. Domestic is still valued.

KYUNKI SAAS AND KGGK was extreme in the stuff they showed yet still progressive in my opinion. I watch all types of shows but when it comes to STAR PLUS you really cant expect much from it

Saathiya whether you think its backwards or not. Kokila was shown as a women ruling her household and not even CHIRAG AND PAARAG even spoke she made her decisions and made it clear. Gopi for many years was stupid and toke her while to adapt to then claim her own rights and have a business. Same with Akshara

AKSHARA dealt with issues like VEILS DUPATTA, CARRYING ON STUDIES AFTER MARRIAGE, SAAS AND DAMAD EXTREME VALUES. Working in a business after marriage

Naira dealt with not being judged by wearing jeans, surrogacy and abortion, working against her husband on a project and modern issues.

I have frustration with stuff like that also why is she listening to BUA but that a certain type of culture they follow old mindset Rajasthani. Even though they are in 2020 some people are like that. Also the damad needs a slap too like go and work why you involved in house hold matters.

I agree with you. This concept of ownership that daughters are first owned by their father, then their husband, and then their son is utterly regressive and a concept born out of hundreds of years of patriarchy.

This is there itself in our own religion/culture. The whole ritual of "Kaanya Daan" is born out of this ownership concept and patriarchy. Are daughters a "property" of the parents, that they should be given to someone else as a daan? This is patriarchy and was created probably so that men could control women, and I hate it so much 🤪. The characters like baldev sa exactly represent this kind of patriarchal mindset who believe women are made for kitchen and for producing babies only. 😡

If we sit here and discuss, there are many things that are wrong with the shows in today's ITV. It will take ITV another 10 years or so to come out of these kinds of concept... but at least this show is showing Preeti gaining that self-confidence and independence, and eventually being empowered.

7:30 slot has this special talent of ruining good shows. Happened with Saraswatichandra,YHM,Sanjivani and now Shaadi Mubarak. You can't expect anything progressive in this shit time slot
