Not 'best' filmography, but she definitely played a wide range of characters.

Rani was a perfect amalgamation of actresses who came before her.👍🏼

She could do emotional scenes like Kajol, be bubbly like Juhi, dance energetically like Karisma and act like Madhuri.

She fitted in her characters so smoothly. She was never restricted to one type of roles.

City girl, village girl.... she could play it all.

An ordinary girl with little-to-no makeup in Saathiya,
a con girl in Bunty Aur Bubbly,
a blind-deaf woman in Black,
a dancer in Mangal Pandey.....
she transformed easily into her characters. 👏

She could play a college sweetheart in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,
AND then play a completely polar-opposite role in Mujhse Desi Karoge! with ease.

Even in small/supporting roles she shined. (Veer Zara, KKHH, HDJPK, K3G etc)

And with the Mardaani franchise, she just knocked it out of the park. 😃

Name one actress who could be as badass as her, in Shivani Shivaji Roy's role. 👏
Can you imagine Kajol or Preeti or Aishwarya doing that?

One of the best actresses to come out of BW in last 20 years. Really want her to get out of social message films now though.😆

I guess so

But I like Priyanka's as well. She's done almost all roles.

Rani never played the villain though.

Don't know if hers is the "best filmography" amongst actresses, but she sure is (to me) the best actress amongst her contemporaries.

I wish she worked more and outside of Yashraj banner and also explored the OTT space.
