Extra time? He has been giving us notes ever since April🤪but since its almost text book itself I never wrote them because we have projects assignments and also I am lazy. He will kill me if I ask him extra time. Aaj bhi class ke beech mein note dikhane ko bola kuch bacchon se, I almost got a heart attack bro🤓

Actually it was, I wanted to focus on this after marriage thing in that OS and had the initial surname thing in the back of my mind but couldn't incorporate everything into one as I felt Bondita can only question that when another situation arises and kept it for another day. And the whole OS kind of turned into a debate😆
- The Whole OS was beautiful but Bondita Das is just as patriarchal as Bondita Roy Chowdhury, I prefer just Bondita. Okay sorry. 😆😒
I've replied.

Roopkothar Aalo Chhaya translates into The Light and Shadow of Fairytale... I was just feeling whimsical. 😆

Bondita is a little different from the girls of her age in that era..considering the fact that girls behave slightly more matured even in that era due to circumstances bondita has always been a little more matured.. different people attain different level maturity at different age even in present times... the whole change is to show a change from her being her mum's daughter to being a member of the Roy Choudary and how fond and attached she has become with them.. she using the word bahu was very specific to kaka becuz that is how he addresses her... she forgiving Mami was not right for me but that could be because she doesnt know the gravity of the situation... there are certain scenes where she showed more maturity but actually after returning to the RC mansion she has been showing the side of bondita that we initially saw who is innocent and yet showing her view point in her way... Aura is already 10 if I am right and in the show I think 11... I have seen kids who are just 13 acting roles like that are 20+..... the growing bond between Ani and Bon is so beautiful... there are showing it in a pleasant way... ofcourse a leap is inevitable but they have to show certain tracks with Aurra like her education and maybe some other tracks that sheds light to the social injustice women were put to.... Aurra has this beautiful innocence to her which adds to the more innocence to Bon which would be difficult for an adult Bon to show ... not to say it is not possible just might not be as great as Aura as she is young in reality! That would be a challenge and makers would need to find a suitable person.. This is my opinion and pls do not take it wrongly
Well, to each his/her own.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions. But I do not agree that a future-social-reformer and a supposed-leader-of-women in those times should remain as naive and innocent as she was when she was a child. There needs to come about a "thehrav" in her, as someone earlier said in the forum few days back. Not that being chirpy or innocent or naive is undesirable per say, but an adult Bondita should be "willed" and "strong" more than being beautifully innocent. Again, being strong and being innocent need not necessarily be mutually exclusive, but there seems to be a disconnect somewhere with what they're wanting to show with the character.
As you said, the character is slowly growing out of being only her mom's daughter, and slowly transforming into a member of the Roy Choudhary household. Soon to grow up into a catalyst for social change. There needs to be some change in her; that's understandable. But if it's going to border on ITV's "mahaan bahuness", then, they'd better get the leap and show the kind of screenplay they're now showing. There seems to be a disconnect between the character's current position in the overall story, and the dialogues and screenplay they're writing now. Again, this is my opinion and may well seem not valid for someone else. That's completely okay.
And anyway, they are indeed making the character lose her innocence through replicating all the typical ITV bahu traits here. Bhaari bharkam dialogues, the incessant curiosity being absent, dil dhadakna, pati babu aagaye hai aisa lagraha hai mujhe, and what not. So there's hardly any question of the beautiful innocence not being possible in an adult actor, cause I do not see it much even now with the way they are writing the character nowadays. This is not much to do with the actor playing the part.
This is my opinion and everyone can of course disagree completely as I understand how unpopular this discussion is! Thanks for the reply anyway! Cheers :)

thank God!!
@bold No one said it is about any actors as those roles, but what we cannot deny is, its because they played it, the role became so impactful and memorable. Its that brilliant casting which did the job and what we say here is how difficult it will be to let go of Aurra's Bondita, once leap will happen.
Other points, @sharafah already answered it.
While I understand people's sentiments towards the actors playing the parts, what I strongly believe is that the way a story is written, and the strength and the manner in which the role is conceptualized, is what makes it impactful and memorable, not the brilliant casting. Casting is important too, but not the primary factor that does the job.
The story is the real hero, and without that base, actors cannot do much however talented or charming they may be, or however well they play the part. It's the story which breathes life into the portrayal of the actors.
Some may think otherwise, and that's completely fine. Different people, different opinions.
But my point was that a leap retains the character, which is always part of the story, and that is what's more important. And I posted just for the sake of expressing my view - no intentions to counter anyone else's point here. Thanks though for replying! Cheers!
