Padh Le Mai Teri Kitaab Hu
Bondita was sitting on Anirudh's desk. She was writing down some points for a new case.
Anirudh was helping her out with it. He was engrossed in the case and was discussing every small detail. He held few pages of the file and walked across the room reading out the facts aloud and discussing it with Bon, giving her his expert inputs.
She realized how supportive he was, always trying to bring out the best in her.
A smile crept on her face, she tilted her head and rested it on her palm to just have a good look at her patibabu for a moment.
Ye aaina hai ya tu hai.. Jo roz mujhko savaare..
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, thinking about him.
Itna lagi sochne kyu.. mai aaj kal tere baare...
She recalled how she would always bombard him with her questions. She was like a carefree River. But Ani would always listen to her calmly and give accurate answers for each. He would sooth her down. Make her calm, just like he was.

Lafzo ki mai toh Leher hu...
She smiled and opened her eyes. He was right infront of her, bent down on the desk, with a teasing smile. She was taken aback and started looking in the other direction.
He raised his eyebrow asking her what happened? She just shook her head for a no.
He grinned and looked at the file to tell her to focus, and walked back. She looked at him lovingly.

Chhota sa mai ek sheher hu...
In a while, she was struggling to stay awake but had to prepare for the case. When she was about to doze off on the desk, she felt someone next to her. She found a cup of tea. She smiled as she realized it was Anirudh. He left without disturbing.
She looked at him walk away.

Bon tidied up everything before going to her room as it was time to sleep. Before walking out of the study she would always check if Ani was sleeping well on the sofa.
She saw him fast asleep, but he was shivering a bit. His blanket had fallen down.
She quickly ran up to him and picked up the blanket. She slowly covered him up, looking at him sleeping like a kid.
Khud se ..hai agar..tu bekhabar...behkhabar..
Rakhu lu mai tera khayaal kya...
As Bon covered him up completely, he smiled in his sleep and turned to one side, enjoying the warmth of the blanket.
Bon smiled at his innocence and started running her hands on his forehead and through his hair, trying to sooth him in his sleep.

Sapno me lu mai sambhaal kya....

She left him to sleep and walked towards the door.
"Bondita..."
She immediately looked back, he was still asleep but was taking her name.
She ran towards him and sat down next to the sofa.
Mai daud ke paas aau...
Tu neend me jo pukaare...
She carressed his forehead to get him back to sleep.
Mai ret hu ... tu hai dariya..
Baithi hu tere Kinaare...
She kept looking at him with a smile.

Next morning the entire RC family, except Anirudh was having their morning tea in the Hall. They were laughing and giggling away on some jokes. Bihari offered Bondita her cup of tea which she took from his hand and did an eye gesture to ask about Anirudh. Bihari signalled that his tea was served to him in his study.
Bon rolled her eyes and went to the study. She saw Ani sitting on his desk working with some files.
His tea was sitting on a small table next to the sofa, entirely ignored by him.
Tanha ..hai agar..tera safar.. humsafar..
Tanhaai ka mai jawaab hu...
She kept her tea next to his and walked up to him. She demanded him to sit with her on the sofa and have tea.
He was reluctant but couldn't say no, so he happily followed.
They sat together for the tea as Bondita talked her heart out, smiling and laughing at her own silly questions and how cleverly Ani answered them all. She loved to see him laugh at her questions. Sometimes she would do it on purpose.
In few minutes Anirudh came out of his work mode and started enjoying the conversation bringing out fun old memories.
Hoga... mera.. bhi asar..tu agar..
Padh le mai teri kitaab hu...
Bondita handed him over a book which she had loved reading and recommended him to read it too. He was happy reading what it was about and grinned.
She looked at him with love filled in her eyes. She couldn't say it to him. She just hoped he could read her.

At night when she came to check on him, she saw him fast asleep on the sofa, with the book kept open on his chest. He was still holding on to it. Bon realized he might have slept while reading it. Her heart was filled with warmth looking at him like that.
She went and sat down next to him, something which was becoming her habit.
She felt how lucky she would have been of she herself was one of his books. She looked at the book and how he was holding it.
Seene pe mujhko saja ke..
Jo raat saari guzare...
She carressed his forehead.
Toh mai sawere se keh du..
Mere sheher tu na aa re...
She smiled as Ani responded to her touch in his sleep.

Her face turned red thinking about him as she ran her fingers through his hair. But her secret happy time was short lived as she saw Ani open his eyes.
