My opinion might differ here,Am myself working in that type of management,So far we have got good results and it depends on how its executed...Am incharge of south zone sales,have 5 teams(3 generations) in total to manage ,initially it was difficult,but once i got to know everyone it became easy
And have seen some companies that have succeedes with it
A proper plan and smooth execution,its effective!
But it Mostly depends on proper communication like you said,and seeing aari i feel it will be a disaster,but lets see!
