The diary scene was before his love realization na? He was thinking more about why his feelings are the same as his bro, that was more the falling in love phase. I was expecting more questioning after he falls in love but too many things happened. Since the writers have kept it kinda open-ended I thought they might explore it more later. But all that goes away if the Mahima reveal happens now.

Also, in a way, that's Pree's trump card against every accusation, so using it now to clear MU when it can easily be done by Rahul confessing and video truth kinda feels redundant from a plot perspective.
