Oh no KSG had nothing to do with it. Shilpa was wayyyy too popular. Because after Shilpa there was Sukirti Kandpal (most popularly known as Pia from PKYEK) and a few months later she quit and was replaced by Jennifer who lasted till the end of the show. Shilpa also returned into the show before it ended in another role when Jenny was playing Riddhima.

About KSG and Jennifer...KSG was married to Shraddha Nigam, he then had some sort pf relationship with a choreographer...KSG had participated in a dance show...that didn't last and then he got together with Jennifer, getting married to her after a few months of dating...then basically the same story repeated with Bipasha.

Jennifer is way more overrated than any other TV actress though 😂

She’s plain looking and acts well but nothing exceptional tbh, no star quality either 🤷🏽‍♀️

It does seem extremely weird that three different actresses played that one character, then original Riddhima Shilpa coming back in a different role, etc... wonder what was going on there 🙃

I remember way back in 2006 the song teri in adaaon mein from this movie was popular and it used to play on music channels repeatedly

And Shilpa looked to pretty in it especially her eyes.

I hope Shilpa is ok she doesn't seem in a good place right now , she is having some serious issues with her own sister and her family and also she used to run a real estate business with her mother , from her Instagram looks like she is having an issue with that too.

Her father died a long time ago when she was a kid

Sukirti wasn't much loved in that role. And I feel she looked uncomfortable in all the romantic scenes...they were more "explicit" (even tho looking at web shows now...lol 😆) than the other shows she did.

Also I remember fans not being very happy with her so she quit and moved on to Agle Janam on Zee and then her biggest role on PKYEK.

Jennifer became a favourite and was really loved by everyone so she stayed till the end. Their chemistry was great too since they had something going on in real life (dunno to call it dating or not coz a member posted an article here saying ksg was three timing 😳)

Regarding Shilpa's return, the TRPs dwindled alot and it was on Star ONE, hardly any shows crossed 1.0 ka TRP since it had a very specific demographic. So makers decided to get their most popular face back. Jenny was accepted as Riddhima so they got Shilpa in a different role.

Surprisingly all the actors on Star ONE were much more popular than the actors on saas bahu stuff... they've had much better careers too.

I like Sukirti better than Jennifer in general though, I think she’s coming back with a new show on Sony soon...

And yeah I guessed they would have brought back Shilpa because of her popularity, but having three different actresses as the lead was too weird, there was definitely something going on imo...

I wish they didn’t shut down Star One, most of the shows were popular as well... now “Indian serials” really just means saas-bahu stories, nothing aimed at younger people...
