Adoption I know for a fact was a thing in those days, my mom had a (very middle class) colleague who adopted a baby in the 90s, one of my (also very middle class) distant relatives did so around that time too, it's just the movie being stupid lol

Should have been banned or not then but it must be banned from any TV channels from airing this type of movies now. There was Rani's debut film with Amzad Khan's son... woh wala movie bachpan mein trauma tha aur har maheene TV mein aata tha.
