That said, comedy movies and comic plot lines usually win for me, especially if I need a mood lift.
Most of these movies in the list are comedies but some dramatic/ romantic ones are in there too. And some of them I just re-watch for certain scenes and songs.
1. Half ticket: even though Kishoreda is sooo OTT in it (I love the little song improvs he does)
2. Chupke Chupke (Om Prakash and Dharmendra’s chemistry)
3. Angoor (Sanjeev Kumar is GOLD. And with Deven Verma? Priceless!)
4. Golmaal (Amol Palekar and Utpal Dutt: enough said)
5. Khoobsoorat (Nirmal Anand!)
6. Ek phool chaar kaante (Sunil Dutt and Waheeda Rehman)
7. Tere Ghar ke saamne (except for melodrama in the end)
8. Andaz Apna Apna (iconic characters! And so so quotable)
9. Delhi Belly (just the whole movie! Insane!)
10. Jaane tu ya jaane na (Naseer in the photo! Paresh Rawal. And Imran and Genelia are so believable)
11. Khosla ka ghosla (Ranvir Shorey!)
12. Jaane bhi do yaaron (such a talented bunch of actors and the insane plot)
13. Mughal-e- azam ( the dialogues! And Madhubala!)
14. Kohinoor (DK and Meena Kumari’s madcap comedy)
15. Kala Pani (Dev and Madhubala’s chemistry ☺️)
16. Dil hai ke manta nahi (guilty pleasure for Aamir and Pooja Bhatt )
17. Some scenes in Padosan : the ones with Kishoreda ( I find Mehmood unbearable in it)
18. Chalti ka naam gaadi (the songs and the 3 real life bros)
19. Dil chahta hai: plot, performances, aesthetic, oh just about everything. Also Preity never looked better)
20. Lagaan (The songs, aesthetic and the triumph of the underdog)
21. Jo jeeta wohi sikander (the whole Archiesque world 💔)
22. Hum hain rahi pyar ke (do you see a pattern here? 😆)

25. Aaj ki taza khabar (underrated gem)
26. Dulhe Raja (Govinda annoying Kadar Khan is to die for)
27. Joru ka ghulam (the Govinda and the Rakesh Khanna versions. 😆)
28. Anand : (to tell the truth I need to be in a mellow mood to watch this movie because I never fail to cry at the end no matter how many times I watch it)
29. Mr and Mrs 55: The sexist plot is kinda dated now, but I love feisty Madhubala in this.
30. Rang Birangi (Dhurinder Bhatwadekar! Farooque Sheikh and Parveen Babi ❤️)
31. Masoom (Jugal Hansraj and his beautiful face 😭)
32. Taare Zameen par (beautiful movie ❤️)
33. Mr India (Sridevi!)
34. Seeta aur Geeta (the best of the twins separated at birth movies)
35. Micheal Madana Kama Rajan (I’m sneaking in this one Tamil movie because it’s just insane. Nonstop craziness! Kamal! And all the side characters are phenomenal!)
36. Lamhe (Sridevi again!)
37. Kabhi Kabhi (Shashi and Rishi father-son jodi and Rishi- Neetu! 😳)
There are probably more I’m missing but this is largely my go-to list 😳
(And I have a separate Hollywood list 😳)
But you left out 3I, PK and Dangal.😆
On a serious note though, I LOVE your list. Most of them are on my list too except the Govinda and Devanand ones. :)
