it would be a flop except for ongs like later movies were that copied dDLJ

Who knows.. honestly if a movie like DDLJ released today, i would pay double the money to see it😆 I am so bored of realistic cinema and social messages that if a fluff simple cutesy movie comes, I will grab it with both hands😆

It would fail in pandemic 😆

But it might succeed other wise

I watched the movie 10yrs after it's release. I think most of our gen were not even born when it released still everyone have watched and liked it. It airs every week on TV and fetches trp so why not

today also they are showing it on set max 2 as an anniversary special

Well, I don't think it's great cinema but it is cheesy and larger-than-life, and these two qualities are still appreciated in our cinema, even now. So yeah, it would have been a blockbuster even now!

PS - I was 10 when it released, and I loved the songs back then. I found the movie boring, I liked KKHH and DTPH more, I used to watch those a lot more.
