Aamirs Thug didn’t reach as high as Bharat.

Either did 3 of akshays 2019 films. An the 4th no one really knows the true amount it made. 😆
I’d say Salman is doing fine.

Why compare it with Bharat? Why not Dabangg 3 which was Bhai's last film? Oh wait, that's because it collected less than Thugs Of Hindostan and every Akshay film released in 2019.

I agree, at the end of the day it solely depends on person about what entertains him/her. But somehow collection of tubelight proved my point. What I am trying to say is that atleast the movie need to have sensible script and fluid flow. I can see ek tha tiger again but won't watch kick even if someone will pay for that.

Tell me if you have to choose between Dabangg and Kick, which one will be your choice?

True achievers view movies as entertainment , they derive their value of intellect and education in their work and personal /professional achievemnets . Sure they appreciate a movie like 'ex machina' and prolly take their kids along too , but they dont feel intelligent just because they dont watch a salman movie and appreciate a "Andhadhun" ...thats a wannabe's life.

Well one can watch a good salman movie and feel entertained, it's not necessary to blindly support any star coz that's the first step towards deterioration of content.

And idk how can someone assosciate professional achievements with Salman Khan's movies. Also if watching andhadhun makes me wannabe I am very happy to be tagged as one as it was eery & funny simultaneously which I don't think many or any bollywood movie have achieved yet.

I don't see you criticizing masala genre as Dabangg and Bajrangi Bhaijaan are too an out and out masala movie. So don't know on what track some members are going here by bringing things like education and intellect using your one post.

As far as I see, you don't have a problem with the genre and you never talked about liking deep cinema. But just because it's masala, that doesn't mean you give anything in the name of entertainment and you have full right to criticize a movie's quality.

Nothing wrong in liking Hollywood masala movies and hating Bollywood ones. Because maybe you just think Hollywood does it better. And if some people think it's only because of the inferiority complex because of white supremacy then that's their problem.

Some have a problem with people judging movies because they dislike a movie they like, when they have full right to do it. But they don't think twice before judging a person for liking or disliking a movie. Everyone hating a Bhai movie becomes a wannabe or snob lmao. Then these same people pass expert comments on movies acting like the very wannabes they are criticizing.

Bold- I love forum for these kind of perspectives.

In a generic mood, people prefer comedies or masala movie but obviously there should be some sensible content in it.

For e.g. Ayushmann was on a spree of giving hits and then came dream girl. I couldn't watch that movie for 20 mins as it was feeling so patchy.

Bhai itne bhi talented nahi ki sara kaam khud kare, acting bhi script writing bhi, choreography bhi (dabangg 3). Let people do their work and deliver quality cinema.

Obviously and that is what I wanted to convey that success of a film should depend on the quality of cinema not on stardom

If people are drawn to the film what difference does it make.

Gradually content will decline. Music industry is already in gutter ( with few exceptions)
