I don't see you criticizing masala genre as Dabangg and Bajrangi Bhaijaan are too an out and out masala movie. So don't know on what track some members are going here by bringing things like education and intellect using your one post.
As far as I see, you don't have a problem with the genre and you never talked about liking deep cinema. But just because it's masala, that doesn't mean you give anything in the name of entertainment and you have full right to criticize a movie's quality.
Nothing wrong in liking Hollywood masala movies and hating Bollywood ones. Because maybe you just think Hollywood does it better. And if some people think it's only because of the inferiority complex because of white supremacy then that's their problem.
Some have a problem with people judging movies because they dislike a movie they like, when they have full right to do it. But they don't think twice before judging a person for liking or disliking a movie. Everyone hating a Bhai movie becomes a wannabe or snob lmao. Then these same people pass expert comments on movies acting like the very wannabes they are criticizing.
Bold- I love forum for these kind of perspectives.
In a generic mood, people prefer comedies or masala movie but obviously there should be some sensible content in it.
For e.g. Ayushmann was on a spree of giving hits and then came dream girl. I couldn't watch that movie for 20 mins as it was feeling so patchy.
Bhai itne bhi talented nahi ki sara kaam khud kare, acting bhi script writing bhi, choreography bhi (dabangg 3). Let people do their work and deliver quality cinema.
