But those films and shows are fiction ...even if they are made to create awareness like say Udta Punjab was ...there were facts that backed up including stats on drug usage and crime rates ...they had that in the film too to create awareness
What exactly aee the facts And stats that Arnab has apart from “kanagna said” and “this what’s app chat ka screenshot”...that’s grounds enough to call an industry scum? Udta Punjab raises awareness but never called Punjab as filth or scum or anything derogatory...it just highlighted the existing problem with facts backing it up..but presented as a fictitious story / characters
@Bold, I think that is what becomes a moot point. When & where to draw the line. If we look at it, we can however see clearly that the media houses had an agenda at that point of time - distraction & TRP.The Media has a responsibility to report facts, they cannot call themselves news channels if they are cooking up stuff.
Though, it's not the first time that movies have been censored or banned. The marathi movie Halala was based on a issue but still banned. Movies, only incases where it offends a certain community does it get banned.
