Naagin 5 - Double Take 4

Hello people, I am back with my Double take for the weekend. An interesting and mysterious weekend. Well, for starters, let's welcome Naagin 5 alumni, our very own Dheeraj Dhoopar 🥳

Our DD is back, even though for 2-3 episodes, but he is back. And I am pleased, very pleased. Well, so without much ado, let me give my review for the weekend.

Highlights - Yayyy!!!👍🏼

Veer, the Aakesh - Ajeeb sa title hai, but please isse kaam chalao yaar. Kyunki, all I saw in Veer yesterday was Aakesh. The sarphira, sanki, obsessive, possessive Aakesh. When he is on the hunt, he is Veer, but after that, he was Aakesh through and through. The ferocity with which he guarded Bani, the helplessness he felt in not being able to convince Bani of his feelings, the madness with which he properly solemnized his marriage, and the confidence with which he claimed that he will make Bani want to be with him - everything was Aakesh talking there. And Sharad brought Aakesh out really well. After Teer's death secret was exposed, Veer completely embraced that side of Aakesh who was completely drowned in Naageshwari's love. But he has only embraced that part of himself. There is another part of Aakesh he is yet to embrace, which we all are apprehensive about - Veer's hate for Naga and Naagins, which Aakesh never considered an issue. And that is possible only with his memories. But I feel even if he doesn't remember, Bani is too dear for him to consider this enmity and hate. He could be hurt, distant, but he neither can let Bani go nor see her getting hurt. So, I am up for seeing how they show Veer remembering the truth and embracing Aakesh completely.

Daksh, the hunter - Boy, I am impressed with this guy. His instincts are so sharp, and so is his mind. He is a good comrade for Veer, cause a man with the vision of Veer needs someone as reliable as Daksh. But that can only happen when Daksh will choose a side. Daksh is very leaned towards Balwant, so I am not sure whether they will show him being the support system Veer will need in the future. But Tapish is definitely not the man Friday, Veer needs. Veer needs someone like Daksh, provided Daksh chooses to be with Veer, even after knowing Bani's truth.

Smooth Revelations - I am impressed with the precision of the revelations this season. The swiftness with which Jai being a Nag was revealed, and how quickly Teer's death was revealed, was superb. And the best part was, no drama. Without too much drama, they just came straight to the point and revealed everything. Infact, I really hope that Veer's past life memories, Bani's Adi Naagin revelation and Jai's truth revelation will also be real smooth. No drama, no kelenkari, only swift execution. Good job CVs.

New Player, DD - Yes, a new player with a known face - DD urf Shakura. I like the swag with which they keep names - Naagfani, Mohiniras, Kaalganak, Shakura - matlab kuch bhi.😆 Anyway, so Shakura is an eternal creature locked in the Banjar pahadi who is ruthless and dreaded. And also someone I believe to have a functioning mind - unlike our saste "khatron ke khiladi" JaMayShu. They think this Shakura will kill Bani, yeah right, and I was born yesterday. Ye aadmi jo itne saalon se band pada hai woh tum jaise choozon ke liye Adi Naagin ko maarega. Mujhko pata nahi kyun lagta hai, that ye Shakura bahut kuch janta hai, bahut kuch. Aur ye reverse tareeke se bhi Bani ko help kar sakta hai.

Bani - This is the first Naagin in this series, who just makes me want to hate her and not root for her. How am I supposed to root for this woman? Okay, you hate the Cheels - you are natural enemies, they engage in crime, they are the reason so many Naga and Naagins are dead, they are the reason Naina died, probably Noor died too because of them, all good. But why is she busy only instigating Veer, bhai?? Arre jao na, Cheelo ke baare me aur jankari pata karo, ghuso Singhanias ke keechad me, bahut kuch hai jo pata lagega. But she only and only irritates Veer and then irritates us. What fruitful has she achieved yet, except exposing Teer's death? I mean show to sirf Cheelo ka nahi hai, Show ka naam Naagin hai. To kuch to karo. Iska saara time Jai ke tante sambhalne me nikalte hai ya Mayuri ko attitude phekne me. I mean, Mayuri ka intention kya hai, woh kyun aayi hai, Cheelo ke kaale dhande kya hai, woh kya karte hai, kaise karte hai. Kuch bhi nahi kiya. Dimaag me itne confusion hai, jawaab dhundne ki jagah, tokri bhar bhar ke gussa, attitude aur tevar dikhati hai. I am bored with this unidimensional Naagin. Agar Satyug me hi rehna tha, to wohi rehti, janam kyun liya behen. Hum viewers ka dimaag kharaab karne ke liye. Iski Satyug ki Chalisa kabhi band hogi ya nahi???😡

Khatron ke Khilaadi - Koi aakar maaro mujhko, maaro. Apna muh dekha hai Jai tune??? Kis binaah par tu khud ko Khatron ke Khiladi ka khitaab de raha hai. Kya ukhaad liya aajtak tune?? Bachane bhi Bani ko aana padta hai. Teri shakti Veer se jyaada hai?? Kab se?? Pahaadi par to nahi dikhi, itne andhere me bhi kuch nahi dikha. Ek pinjre me Veer ko band karke, bahut zubaan phadphada rahi hai tumhari. Pinjre me band sher ko bhi log kam hi samajhte hai, lekin jab pinjre se sher bahar nikalte hai na, tab bhagdar mach jaati hai, samjha. Kaseede phut rahi thi iski, Veer ko cage karke. Jab aayega na full form me tere saamne, tab yahi kaseede sunana, dekhti hu kitni taakat hai tujhme. 2 paise ki teri aukaad, chhalne ke ilaawa koi aur tareeka nahi tha Veer ko haraane ka, aaya bada. Then he is showing his taaqat to Mayuri and Shukla. You know, Jai just resembles a guy who could not stand up to bullies all his life,aur 2 din pehle shaktiyan aane par kaise chaude hoke ghumte hai aur logo ko harass karte hai, woh hai Jai. He is a low key psycho, that's it.

Observations:

This Cheel family either has no chill or is too chill. Matlab kabhi to toot padte hai Bani pe, aur kabhi koi bhi lafandar aake khud ko Veer bolta hai, and they believe it. I mean kabhi inke dimaag ka x-ray karke na dimaag nahi, sirf daru milegi. I mean Ballu to lallu hai, but Daksh jaisa Daksh, woh bhi jhaase me aa gaya. Kya re Daksh, tere naak aur kaan sirf saanpo ko sunghne ke kaam aata hai, kabhi family pe bhi try kar liya kar oye.

Bani ke dimaag ka x-ray agar karenge, to report ekdum blank aayegi, dekh lena. Kyunki bandi ke paas to dimaag hai hi nahi. Selectively kaam karta hai. Teer ke time pe teer ki tarah chala, phir petrol khatm. Ab Veer ke mamle me chalega ya nahi, kisiko kya pata. Waise isko bhi kya bolu yaar. Jab Veer ka khandaan itna mahaan hai, to isko kya bolu. Veer beta, tu khud hi kuch kar sakta hai, kyunki frankly, dono me se kisi pe bhi bharosa karna dangerous hai.

Shakura ho ya aloo bukhara, ye banda ye saste khatron ke khilaadi ka koi kaam nahi karega. Usko azaad karke apni shaamat bulayi hai aur kuch nahi inn teeno ne. Ye Bani ko maarne nahi wala. Woh precap me, jis uchai se pheka, ussi tarah woh bachayega. Also, mujhe iss Shakura pe bahut doubt hai. Sadiyon se jo hai, woh to bahut kuch janta hoga, bahut kuch dekha hoga. Matlab, Satyug ke incidents ka bhi knowledge isko hoga. Satyug ke raaz ka agar parda phaash hi karna hai, to ye character apt hai. Par pata nahi kyun, thoda doubtful hai ye. Kuch gadbad hai ye. I don't know, maybe because he has Aakesh's face, but something is amiss about him.

Woh "Gandhak" jisko Bani ne dhund nikala uski shakti se, Veer ki tasveer badal gayi, why? and how? I mean what is that capable of doing. It has a storm icon, which means a storm is brewing with Veer disappearing? Veer ki tasveer kali pad gayi, kyunki Veer musibat me hai, ya phir Adi Naagin ko samjha sake ki ye Veer nahi koi aur hai. Par Gandhak ji, aapko nahi pata apni Naagin, andhak hai, as in andhi, usko clearly sab kuch samjhana padta hai, warna baby ko kuch samajh nahi aata. Aap chahe jo karlo.

Kaalganak had stopped because Veer and Bani were together. But, now that Veer has been caged and separated, the Kaalganak has started again and the sand has dispensed. Now, when Veer returns, he should have full knowledge of his past with powers kept dormant. It's like Klaus unlocking his werewolf aspect in TVD, because he is a hybrid. It's like Veer ke andar do log rehte hai - Veer and Aakesh. And dono ko ek karna zaruri hai. I don't know why I feel that Bani will go to save Veer and will reveal her Naagin form to him and will confront Shakura who has Aakesh's face. And I guess seeing their confrontation, he will remember. Aakesh's face is the key to clarifying all Satyug mysteries. Uska closure hua to Kalyug ke kaand handle honge.

Yes... Veer is taken over by Akesh now... the jungle seq was bang on... he is jealous insecured possessive... he knows his past or not.. there is no word called "HATE" in his dictonary for Bani..

Coming to Bani... i agree completely... her repeat blabbering is getting on my nerves.... I badly want one breaking point from Veer..

Veer is very well written character in this season⭐️..I kindly request cvs to bring slight changes in Bani attitude... her same dialogues is kinda boring... Surbhi is giving her best...🐷

For a change Jay was ok in yest episode... Tapish bahi suddenly changed into cheel....Aft Veer Daksh is my fav..hope they use him well in future...

DD did his part well... his cheel dance hahaha.. ( still Y other 2 danced with him is ????) His character is very mysterious one...I believe he 'll double cross the villian gang... something missing in him... hope they avoid close moments with Bani...its 💔 for VaNi fan in me

Am excited to see what happend which made him clash with Jay ( as per Mayuri BTS story )

I honestly have been ranting to myself how you mentioned regarding Bani that she should locate, observe, evaluate other things related to Cheel, go back to things that has taken place regarding Noor’s death. Think what if Teer was behind Noor’s one night stand, why Cheels are doing illegal business, why morni has come to take the power and moreover, why Jay’s scent has been apparent to everyone? Instead, she is venting her frustrations on Veer because he is an easy target and he doesn’t have extreme reactions to Bani’s nonstop accusations without explanations.

I hope and genuinely hope that we do get to see the turn around of Bani where she utilizes her fierce attitude of being adi Naagin, get hold of her powers and stay vigilant while she can advance herself into coming out with secrets hidden within Cheel’s family. Don’t just tell Veer “ apne bhai ke kaatil ko dhoondo aur mera peecha choro”. Where is Veer’s limit? I fear it might be slightly too late if her rant doesn’t stop because Veer’s turbulence can occur soon if not too soon. You could see how agitated he is getting compare to where he stood when they first meet. He immediately mellowed down after he came to know Bani didn’t kill Teer and still possessed his Haq by completing the rest of the ritual for marriage. This was too sweet.

The khamoshiyan sequence was heart wrenching, yet beautiful because I find Veer being so openly there confessing when he is hurt and how Bani’s closeness and concern for Jay and zero for her husnand effected him. I want Bani to do the same... EXPRESS her emotions even if it doesnt make sense which might help her attain some knowledge of why Veer is like this or that. Veer ne buht sahe kaha... “tum bhi buht kuch kehti ho, main ye nahe karon gi woh nahe karon gi, but tum be sab kuch kiya” Kia pata pyar bhi hojayeee.. Banda ek taraf and his confidence ek taraf! 😆

Ye Cheel ki family... kiya hai? Someone came as Akesh ka face claiming he is Veer and all believed him so easily? How did they not think ye sab Veer ne phele kyn nahe kiya? I mean he could have changed his face into Akesh toh ab ye sab kyn?😕

Veer might be thinking in the cage.. ye gharwali toh hai he esi, per gharwaleee bhi dhoondne nahe aye mujhe.

Bani realizing Veer simply can’t hurt her but this Akesh imposter dared to with great audacity. I am glad for this and she also needs to conquer the enemies by establishing a plan to unveil them starting from Jay. Aur ye blue eyed kon tha who was peeking through the door knob? 😲

Now the question is, how will Veer release himself from the cage? Ya pher Bani will come finding him while she be in completely changed form.

Precise & crisp review, Sohini 👍💯 Glad to see Bani topping the Nayyy list. Shakura is an impostor no doubt, this would ensure that Aakesh & Veer's character sketches remain intact without alteration, & the makers haven't disappointed either. I've just one confusion - (Naagin jaise show mein confusion hona hi normal hai, anyway 😂) when Jai changed his voice & said "bachao, bachao" it didn't even sound like Bani's voice & Veer immediately panicked & transformed into his Cheel avatar ? Okay, they had to justify his gayab hona for Shakura's entry, but going by Veer's standards isn't it really stupid enough ? The makers have finally given a concrete scene which depicts that Veer & Bani are destined for each other, cosmic partners -- Veer's photograph changed as soon as Bani touched the red stone. (gandhak) Unke dress aur gusse ki tarah patthar ka rang bhi laal hai. Jai kept on taunting Veer when he was flapping his wings inside the cage, thankfully he acknowledged that Veer is more powerful than him. (Don't know why, but it's tough to even accept that Jai can outsmart & trap Veer so easily ! What if the Cheel inside the cage isn't really Veer ?!) Regarding Shakura & Bani, I'm sorry but I really don't think Bani can figure out that it isn't her husband unless koi bahar se uske dimaag mein petrol daale. Waiting for the upcoming episodes.

It's a nice review, Sohini! 😊 I am also very pleased to see Dheeraj back. I was extremely excited to watch his re-entry yesterday. I really enjoyed watching him on-screen again. But I think his dance with eagle brothers were absolutely hilarious and it was totally unneccessary. Ek dangerous villain, Shakura aya hain, aise nacheda to funny nahi lagega! I am disappointed with the dialogue writers. His dialogue, "Tum Bani Sharma se Bani shadma kaise ban gayi." was ridiculous. He also told one dialogue, "Main dar gaya..." twice. Naagin 5's dialogue writers could have done a better job. Aur Aakesh jyada devilish lagta tha mujhe, ye Shakura thoda cute hain.😆😆 I seriously do not understand how those Singhanias could be so stupid! Shakura said that he was veer and they believed him!

Jai is a clown, I don't like people who bully others in situations where they are powerless. This isn't fair fighting. Bani that way is better, at least she wants to instigate, fight it out and win.

DD did his part well... his cheel dance hahaha.. ( still Y other 2 danced with him is ????) His character is very mysterious one...I believe he 'll double cross the villian gang... something missing in him... hope they avoid close moments with Bani...its 💔 for VaNi fan in me

I honestly have been ranting to myself how you mentioned regarding Bani that she should locate, observe, evaluate other things related to Cheel, go back to things that has taken place regarding Noor’s death. Think what if Teer was behind Noor’s one night stand, why Cheels are doing illegal business, why morni has come to take the power and moreover, why Jay’s scent has been apparent to everyone? Instead, she is venting her frustrations on Veer because he is an easy target and he doesn’t have extreme reactions to Bani’s nonstop accusations without explanations.

I hope and genuinely hope that we do get to see the turn around of Bani where she utilizes her fierce attitude of being adi Naagin, get hold of her powers and stay vigilant while she can advance herself into coming out with secrets hidden within Cheel’s family. Don’t just tell Veer “ apne bhai ke kaatil ko dhoondo aur mera peecha choro”. Where is Veer’s limit? I fear it might be slightly too late if her rant doesn’t stop because Veer’s turbulence can occur soon if not too soon. You could see how agitated he is getting compare to where he stood when they first meet. He immediately mellowed down after he came to know Bani didn’t kill Teer and still possessed his Haq by completing the rest of the ritual for marriage. This was too sweet.

Abhi tak kuch bhi nahi kiya hai isne. Ye kya Naagin banegi. Matlab she is still at zero, and race me sab aage bhaag chale hai. I mean ab kya haath pakad ke daudana bhi padega. Arre tu apne kaam kar na Naagin, tu kya dusre ke pachde me apne reputation ki dhajjiya uda rahi hai. Bholenath bhi sochte honge, kya soch kar isko sarvashresth banaya maine, pehle dimaag diya hota, phir dekhta ye layak bhi hai ya nahi.

The khamoshiyan sequence was heart wrenching, yet beautiful because I find Veer being so openly there confessing when he is hurt and how Bani’s closeness and concern for Jay and zero for her husnand effected him. I want Bani to do the same... EXPRESS her emotions even if it doesnt make sense which might help her attain some knowledge of why Veer is like this or that. Veer ne buht sahe kaha... “tum bhi buht kuch kehti ho, main ye nahe karon gi woh nahe karon gi, but tum be sab kuch kiya” Kia pata pyar bhi hojayeee.. Banda ek taraf and his confidence ek taraf! 😆

Of course, mujhe Veer ke liye bura lagta hai, but don't you think ki Veer iss situation ke liye kaafi hadh tak khud bhi responsible hai. I mean, uska impression as Veeranshu Singhania hi itna kharaab hai Bani ke nazar me, aur Bani ko pata hai ki wohi Aakesh hai. Kalyug ki dislike kam thi, ki Satyug ka added baggage hai uss par. Veer has never taken onus for his actions, hasn't ever tried to show himself in a positive light. His actions have always highlighted the opposite of positive. Bolta hai ki "Main villain hi thik hu", to thik hai bhai jhelo iss pagli Naagin ko. Ab agar Veer ko yaad aa gaya ki woh Aakesh hai, tab shayad woh apne actions ko sudhare. Warna koi chance nahi. As he said, shaadi ek two-way street hai - agar chahte ho ki bandi tumhare paas aaye, to apne phailaye huye raite ko khud sameto. Satyug ke bhi aur Kalyug ke bhi.

Ye Cheel ki family... kiya hai? Someone came as Akesh ka face claiming he is Veer and all believed him so easily? How did they not think ye sab Veer ne phele kyn nahe kiya? I mean he could have changed his face into Akesh toh ab ye sab kyn?😕

Ye blue-eyed jo bhi tha, kuch to batana chahta tha Bani ko, dekhte hai kya issue hai iska. Bani will slowly understand that this guy isn't Veer, well because she is slow. Jai ki villainy ki muh dikhayi iss month ke end tak to honi chahiye.

Now the question is, how will Veer release himself from the cage? Ya pher Bani will come finding him while she be in completely changed form.

I think Bani's Naagin revelation and Veer's memories will come out together. Jai ka revelation pehle bhi ho sakta hai. Shayad wohi sunke she goes to search for Veer.

Bani is now losing her charm as Adi Naagin. One thing she hasn't achieved successfully. What type of a Naagin is she? She is unimpressive and dull. And her Jai-chants are now yawn-worthy. Her character has become monotone and unidimensional, which only reeks of anger, arrogance, and attitude. I for one, am not liking her anymore. I am not Veer, who will find love in her ridiculous attempts to instigate him. Do something Naagin-worthy, ya side hato behen, bore mat karo ab.

Jai ki mardaangi par mujhko bahut doubt hai. Shakti to zero ke bhi neeche, aur baatein badi badi. Aurat banne ka shauk hai isko. Jab dekho. He is also a cringefest.
