The progression they've portrayed in Ridhima that she could take this step is huge, I guess. It wouldn't be easy for her despite slowly falling for Vansh.

Agreed with your point with Ridz’s progression. The bed sharing scene itself was a stepping stone and this one was a huge step as they were distant and now it was her who took the step and covered the distance. She is indeed falling for him. And patidev unknowingly making his place inside her heart and soul.
