They shouldn't have been playing the task at all - Gauhar needed to play her role, and Shukla needed to shut up unless his chornis asked for advice or help - let them do it their way - its their bloody season. Beyond that - they needed to shut up and stay out - like Hina did.

Gauhar se ye bat bardasht nhi hor rhy that Sid beat her in argument & task & is far more popular than her. Isliye she is crying like a sore loser.

Shukla is a type of guy who would make you go against him even if he's right. Not a lot of people have that ability

The kind of hate Hina faced in her season, shayad kissi ne face kiya hoga. Shukla still had a lot of fan support and so did Gauhar but she has learnt her lesson.
