Yeah but there is fats too if you do keto correctly. Also even bodybuilders have more protein in their diet than mere keto followers. There may be some other factor for her renal failure other than just keto.

Research says that keto diet is not good if you are following it on long term basis . It may not be fatal for those who engaged in HIIT workouts or weight training.

Looks like it's fake news. And keto is not a healthy diet for a normal person. It was a diet created for diabetic patients as using fats as energy is more efficient for them over carbohydrates. But it comes with the risk of ketoacidosis which is not good. Nowadays, people use it for quick weight loss. Eliminating a type of food doesn't make you lose weight. Just control the calories intake vs. calorie output. Don't punish your body for a few extra pounds.
