"Actress Mishti Mukherjee who marked her brilliance in many films and music videos with her ace acting is no more. Due to keto diet, her kidney failed in Bangalore and she breathed her last on Friday night,the actress suffered a lot of pain. Unforgettable and unfortunate loss. May her soul rest in peace. Mishti made her Bollywood debut as a lead actress in Subhash Ghai's 2014 release, Kaanchi: The Unbreakable. She essayed the title role in the film. She had featured in a special appearance dance number in the 2013 release Main Krishna Hoon before that. In a short career span, Mishti was also seen in films such as Great Grand Masti (2016), Begum Jaan (2017) and Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi (2019), besides Bengali and Telugu projects, and music videos. Actor Mishti Mukherjee passed away due to kidney failure in Bengaluru on Friday. She had worked in films like Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi and Main Krishna Hoon.

Actor Mishti Mukherjee passed away due to kidney failure in Bengaluru on Friday She was 27. Mishti Mukhejee suffered from kidney-related disease after following a keto diet.

An official statement from Mishti Mukherjee’s representative has been doing the rounds that read:

"Actress Mishti Mukherjee who marked her brilliance in many films & Music Videos with her ace acting is no more. Due to keto diet, her kidney failed in Bangalore and she breathed her last on Friday night, the actress suffered a lot of pain.

Unforgettable and unfortunate loss. May her soul rest in peace. She is survived by her parents and brother." (sic)

Her last rites were performed on Saturday. As per reports, she had faced kidney-related issues for the past few days.

Actor Kashmera Shah was one of those who paid her respects to Mishti and expressed her condolences to the family.

Yeah but there is fats too if you do keto correctly. Also even bodybuilders have more protein in their diet than mere keto followers. There may be some other factor for her renal failure other than just keto.
