“Ameerzaade yoon hi hotey hain” he shifted uncomfortably,bristling

“I don’t know” Anubha realized he didn’t get her point

“Kya matlab?”

“He was looking at her like he didn’t care what she wassaying, just… matlab.. who baat karti rahe?”

Akash laughed hysterically

“I know I know… one chai at Parashars and you think theyextracted my brain for research

He laughed even harder

“I told her, kahin pe bhi shuru mat ho jao” Anubha smiledwiping laugh tears

“I don’t know what you mean Ma?”

“Matlab… you know who they are when he asked you what youpresented just say, work stuff”

“Matlab?” Viveka didn’t get it

“You think they care about the work you do?”

“Of course, why would he even ask?”

“He is Satyen Parashar Akash”

“Umm… when the tall boy was checking her out… mujhe eksecond ko laga dono ki jodi kitni khoob hai” Anu sat up

“WHOAA?”

“Pata nahi… don’t kill me”

“I cant kill you today aaj tumhara side bhari hai” he laughed

“Oh yeah… I will milk it for a month or two

“Aise soch bhi kaise sakti ho?”

“Its natural Akash… they both are single, young, and… youknow..”

“Aise sapne MAT dekho Anu” he sat up and rubbed hershoulders

“I shouldn’t no…” Anu nodded superficially

“Ghar jaise tum bata rahi ho, who fountain khali hamareflat ke jitna hoga”

“But Viveka is smarter than all of them” Anu was very happy

“Satyen seems like a good man”

“We can only test him if we remove ourselves from the Shrivastavs…aka your sis’s family”

“You think we are getting all this love because of thejewelry stores?”

“Kya pata?”

“U are right… the lady sounds very nasty”

“When I think about how I wont have to deal with her… ever…I am glad Viveka has no interest in him”

“U think Viveka knows?”

“Aapki beti koi baat pakadti hai kya?”

“Kya baat kar rahi ho?”

“I mean if its not subject related?”

He squirmed

“she doesn’t Akash, hum yeh baat 100 times kar chuke hain”

“At least she noticed Abhishek”

Anu smiled happily

“I am delighted

“I hope when she brings him home we both get the samefeeling”

“Yeah, I am happy for whatever she is doing Akash, buthaving someone to come home to, is a priceless feeling” Anu choked up

He scratched her back gently

“I want her to have that and then some”

“she will”

“She loves kids… I hope she has babies”

“Oh I do too… dono uski tarah geeks hongey”

“Aapko pakka pata hai 2 hain?”

“Chaliye jee 4?” “Bas” “Meri Viveka ko 4 hongey”

“BTW I am relieved Naina ka koi accident nahi hai”

He looked furious

“Kya matlab

“I didn’t tell you but I was afraid…”

“Kya kar rahi hai yeh ladki?”

“shsshhhhh” she warned

“I don’t want to see him again Anu”

“To main kaun sa usko laa rahi hoon ghar”

“Keh do apni beti ko” he got off the bed

“Did u seriously just say that?”

“What?” he paused and turned

“When u spoke about Viveka you said meri beti, and nowabout Naina u said tumhari”

Akash looked ashamed for a brief second then anger tookover

“She has no idea what she is up to”

“And?”

“You triggered me with the pregnancy rumor” he was disgusted“YOU said aapki beti hint nahi pakad paati” he was really angry

“well then…. Let me just go to bed” she took a deep breathand rolled over and slept

He slept in the balcony

The next morning was mood at home was bad, Naina stayed upall night s---ing him and she fought with Diya over the bathroom and claimed tohave “cramps” for occupying the bathroom out of turn

It had the second best shower after the master bath, so all4 girls wanted it

Anu was in the master she didn’t hear the screaming andshouting until she stepped out

Akash didn’t bother just read through the newspaper anddiscussed economic news with his daughter sitting on the arm

“akash tumhe dikh nahi raha?” Anu was mad

“Kya kahoon dono shower ko lekar lad rahin hain”

“Do you want Mrs Basu to speculate?”

“Umm..”

“Naina… niklo abhi ke abhi”

Diya miraculously stopped crying and stood outside with hertowel and clothes

Naina stepped out in her soaking wet body/towel

“Mujhe cold hoga but its OK”

“Oh pleez” Anu was livid

“Namashkar, and Good morning” Satyen texted Akash

He hid is phone as if it was a clandestine affair, andcalled nervously his voice literally trembling

And ran to the living room balcony

“Aapko bhi” he texted

“Aapki daughter ne yaha power cord chhod diya shaam ko”

“Oh? OK”

“Chinta ki koi baat nahi… ya to main ghar de jaata hoon”

Akash immediately jumped in and stopped him

Smrita would have pounded Akash’s skull for treating her husbandlike that

But then Anu would have done the same for inviting him over

“Aap bata dein main aa jaata hoon”

“Zaroor”

Akash waited

“Ek kaam karta hoon, Raanav wahin ja raha hai, us side, hewill drop it off”

“GHAR PAR?” akash panicked

“Umm.. main socha.. usko aaj Singapore Embsassy jaana hai attaché’ se milneon the way ya on the way back he can give it to her, he will be on Nelson MandelaMarg”

“Oh” Akash didn’t want that either

“OK jee… have a great day… main bhoola nahi hoon”

“aap kisi driver ke haath bhijwa dein” Akash insisted

Satyen was shocked to hear that

“Is there something?”

“Arey nahi nahi… bilqul nahi” akash cringed for being soimpolite

“To phir theek Raanav will contact Viveka, acchha jee?”

“OK… thanks” Akash shut his eyes and shuddered

“Bachi ka number mujhe text kar dein aap🤣

We are giddy as well waiting for them to land. This is mind blowing fun stuff . I was just thinking the other day there is so much excitement in delayed gratification which is what makes it most interesting about Viveka and Raanav.

I'm giddy with excitement imagining the scene in the Mathur house when Raanav arrives. Sisters fighting, middle class stuff. Want him to see viveka's home clothes and home persona
