Hi!

I'm sure this hasn't been posted before... Sorry if it has 😕

SUNAINAS FIRST SHOW TO BE AIRED ~~ KUCH LOVE KUCH MASTI

'Kuch Love Kuch Masti' gone sour?

The show which was launched with much fanfare about its bold content, has apparently not done well in terms of viewership. The channel, when it revamped, complete with fresh nomenclature, had added the show about three hip, urban girls as a hook to bait the urban viewer.
KLKM however, has not really registered with audiences. When contacted, producer Girish Mullick says, "I am not too sure." Mullick claims that he has got a positive feedback from those who have watched it. "The youth, especially, have liked the programme. Many youngsters have told me that they identify with the characters. Frankly, I don't hear any alarm bells ringing."
One of the three protagonists, Sonika, however, is a trifle disturbed. She says she has heard rumours that the show might be pulled off. "But these are rumours. I will not attach much importance to them, until my producer tells me something officially in this regard," says she determinedly.
"I see no reason why this show should get the wrong end of the handle. Several girls come up and tell me that they find themselves in similar situations as we three girls find themselves in the serial," she defends.
One of the three girls falls in love with a married man who would not force her into marriage. One is a self-made girl, who is inclined towards an older man as she does not find boys of her age mature and sensitive enough, while the third girl loves two men at the same time for different qualities in them and is open to both of them about it.
Seems, the Indian sensibilities have not lapped it up. After all, Kuch Love Kuch Masti is inspired by Sex and the City. But Mullick claims, "No, it is not at all inspired by Sex and the City. Sex and the City has lot of sex in it. My show is bold and sensuous but it talks more about relationships than one night stands. The story is simply about three independent girls who are independent and honest about their feelings for men. It revolves around the men who come into their lives. What's wrong?"
When Telly Chakkar insisted, Mullick finally said, "At the end of the day, it's the channel who decides. Television functions that way. If a show is not working, it is pulled off. I am not saying that for my show. But once I am given to understand the economics, I myself would ask them to wind it up."

However, the protagonists don't seem to feel cheated. According to Sonika, KLKM has helped her to get recognized on the streets. "I love it when heads turn or people stop in their tracks."
Sunaina eschews, "It's okay. I have enjoyed every moment of it. God forbid if the show encounters a sunset in near future, I will look for more TV roles and some modelling assignments."
Madhuri, the third girl, however, was unavailable for comment.
Whosoever said 'even fifteen seconds under the sun give a high' was definitely not wrong!
Enjoy!
