I have an idea for a fan fiction, but I want your feedback about it first. If you guys think it's a good idea then I might write it. It follows a similar premise to the original storyline but I have brought in major changes.

So the story would start with Ishita living in Delhi (maybe with her parents or alone) after being dumped by Subbu. I also have an idea about how she ended up infertile as well leading to her broken engagement. Not like the show where she just had one stomach cramp and then the first doctor she met declared her infertile. Anyway, she moves to Delhi from Chennai to move on in her career and decides to adopt. At the adoption agency, she falls in love with a little toddler named Ruhi and brings her home. The adoption process begins but for some reason takes a looonnngggg time (maybe a few months or even a couple years). Before the adoption process is finished and Ishita legally becomes Ruhi's mother, Raman (and the Bhallas) and Shagun (with Ashok) turn up looking for Ruhi and trying to get her custody. Because Ishita is neither legally nor biologically related to Ruhi, her custody must go to either her biological mother or father. Here, Ishita is given the responsibility to choose the best place for Ruhi, although she wants to keep Ruhi for herself.

Where will Ruhi go? Will nature trump nurture? How did she end up in the orphanage in the first place? Why did her biological parents turn up so late to take her home? What will be Raman and Ishita's relationship like? Will they come together?
