Soumyadipta: The AIIMS report will help prove the crime in court. It's scientific opinion based on visual evidence. The conclusion was that it's a crime, a possible homicide. Then why some doctors on the board are opposing the conclusion? Is there pressure to alter the report?

First, about the source of this thread. I have not got this information from my professional acquaintances. Some friends are senior doctors at AIIMS. This has come from one of them. That person knows me for 10-odd years. Hence I would assume that this information is correct.

The AIIMS doctors on this panel are senior doctors, all government employees and professors, mostly in their fifties. They are not trained or even equipped to handle pressure. My friend says that few among them have cracked under pressure and contradicting the initial conclusion.

Previously there was no such pressure. Doctors had their internal meetings and quickly arrived at a conclusion. But after that something changed. Few on the Board have now returned their opinion as "Inconclusive" rather than "Homicide". This has stunned other members on the panel

If AIIMS says in their report that they don't have a conclusion, then it will have far-reaching consequences on the case. Here's the possible aftermath if AIIMS report is "inconclusive".

1. AIIMS doctors will be free from pressure because the report will be of no use to the CBI.

2.In case of an inconclusive AIIMS report, automatically the earlier medical report on this case will be considered as valid evidence. What's the earlier medical report? Yes, the post-mortem report of Cooper Hospital which states the reason of death as "Asphyxia due to hanging"

3.In case of an inconclusive report from AIIMS, the CBI will have no reason to investigate the doctors from Cooper Hospital who did the post mortem. There is only one post mortem report. The doctors will be relieved and can join back for work. They will also testify at the court

4.If the allegations of tampering with the post mortem report is proved, then the guilty will lose their licence. But if the report is inconclusive then nobody will be accuse the AIIMS senior doctors of putting their fellow medical professionals in danger of a CBI investigation.

5.If the report is inconclusive then the AIIMS doctors will be relieved from taking part in further investigation. After the initial criticism, no media will chase them. They will not be called to court to confirm and testify. They can all go back to their peaceful academic life

6.The way the case is going, it will have dramatic or tragic political consequences, depending on who you are. Not only political fortunes, if the probes aren't stopped, nothing much will be left of the film industry

Top comment in reditt :

Ask yourself, who in India is so powerful to pressure AIIMS doctors. The players you can assume here are, central govt, state govt, bollywood, china?

If the report is being pressured to be inconclusive that means either state, bollywood is putting pressure: how come they are so powerful compared to govt. Really? If no, then who else is so powerful. Is it a collusion between state and center. This seems to be the only other logical choice.

However, the most explainable scenario is, report will be legit and these folks are just priming the junta to not believe a correct report.

Yeah ok so now just because the indication is that the result will not be what they’ve been wanting, these blood thirsty vultures will start discrediting those same agencies they were begging to get involved.
