Happy weekend,everyone. So,I had sth totally different in mind and this turned out to be completely different from what I initially thought. Initially,this was meant to be a one-shot but it turned out to be so lengthy that I divided it into two shots instead. I just hope you all like it. Part 1
"Rey,tum Mallika se shaadi maat karo."
Reyansh halted his steps when he heard the voice in his back. He turned around to see Pranati looking exasperatedly at him. Tears at the corner of her eyes. He frowned slightly at that. "Hamare ghar mein shaadiyan deals hoti hai,Pranati. Choice nahi." Rey said in his casual tone,trying not to look directly in her eyes.
"Phir bhi tum ye shaadi nahi kar sakte."
The desperation in her voice made him shot his eyes up in confusion. "Kyun? Kyun nahi kar skta main Mallika se shaadi?"
Pranati slightly paused at his question. Why did she not want him to marry Mallika? "Vo-vo Jugnu. Mallika Jugnu ko pasand nhi karti. Indirectly aur directly kitni baar vo hurt kar chuki hai Jugnu ko. Agar vo iss ghar mein tumhaari wife ban kar aa gayi toh pata nahi kya karegi."
"Tu uski tension mat le. Vo naubat nhi aayegi. Maine baat kr liya hai daadi se." Reyansh replied. "In fact,Mallika Jugnu ke sath kuchh nahi karegi ussi condition mein main shaadi ke liye raazi haa ki hain."
Pranati couldn't help but feel proud at what Reyansh just said. Even in the worst case scenario,he kept Jugnu as his main priority. "Kya aisa koi bhi raasta nahi hai jisse tumhe ye shaadi na krni padhe?" Pranati whispered. Reyansh looked at her for a while,his brows furrowing again. Even though his gaze seemed to mean no harm,it made Pranati nervous. "Tu nahi chahti main Mallika se shaadi karu?" This was the question Pranati expected the least from him. She thought of sth to say but couldn't come up with the exact words.
Rey beat her to it. "Dekh,agar tujhe phir bhi Jugnu ki tension hai toh I promise,agar ek baar bhi mujhe aisa laage ke Jugnu kisi problem mein hai toh main usse tere paas bhej dunga,promise." Although it broke his heart to even think about sending his Jugs away,he tried to sound as reassuring as possible. Nothing is more important than Jugnu's safety.
"Main Jugnu ki baat nahi kar rhi hu. Main tumhaari baat kr rhi hu. Kya tum Mallika ke saath khush rahoge?"
Reyansh couldn't help but let out a dry chuckle. "Meri khushi? Meri khushi ki kisi ko padhi nahi hai Pranati. Aur ab mere liye bhi matter nahi karta."
"Kyun nahi karta?!" Pranati couldn't help but feel the anger rising in her tone. "Nahi karta bas nahi karta! Tujhe kyun fikar ho rhi hai meri achanak se? Jaa Archit ki fikr kar jaa ke!" Reyansh couldn't help but raise his voice as well. Now,Pranati was beyond pissed. "Archit sirf mera dost hai Reyansh. Main usse pyaar nahi krti!" This again? Reyansh couldn't help but roll his eyes. "Haan. Jo aap bole madam. Ab agar aap ki agyaa ho toh main ready hone jaau? Aaj sangeet ka function hai ghar mein."
"Reyansh tum samajh nahi rhe ho." Pranati was feeling beyond helpless. Her voice was feeling hoarse right now. He shut his cupboard loudly. "Kya samjhu main Pranati? Dadi ne meri shaadi Mallika ke saath fix kr diya hai business deal ke naam pe. Jugnu ki safety maine ensure krne ki puri koshish ki hai. Agar phir bhi kuchh garbar ho gyi toh tum Jugnu ko apne saath leke jaana. But I also hope Archit ke taraf se koi problem create na ho tum dono ke shaadi ke baad. Vaise itna toh mujhe bhi maanna padhega ki vo Mallika se toh better hi hai-"
"Tum behre ho kya?! Main bol rhi hu main Archit se pyaar nahi karti,aur naa hi usse shaadi karungi?" Pranati's anger was on cloud 9 now. "Kyu?" Rey asked in between. "Kyunki main tumse pyaar karti hoon you idiot!!!"
She paused for a second to control her breathing. "Aaj bhi karti hu," she mumbled,audible enough for Rey to hear it.
