Favorite S P Balasubramanyam's hindi song

An instantly recognizable voice and synonymous with his art, S.P. Balasubrahmanyam or SPB he was fondly known as made his debut in Hindi cinema with 1981 film Ek Duje Ke Liye.He won a National Award for the film.Tere Mere Beech Main,O Maria,Sach Mere Yaar Hai,Sun Beliya were some of his renditions.

Lata Mangeshkar, allegedly suggested the name of SPB to the Barjatyas a new voice to a new face,Salman Khan.

SPB was to Salman what Mukesh was to Raj Kapoor or Mohammed Rafi was to Shammi Kapoor.It is difficult to imagine Salman of the 90s without SPB’s voice ringing in our ears.

I love SPB's romantic songs from the 90s. But his sad songs are something special. The character's disillusionment and pain at the world which destroys his dreams comes across clearly in the lines
