Yeah absolutely. He should stick to TV and do webshows simultaneously. Many tv stars try in bollywood but hardly they succeed. Sab ki kismat mrunal thakur aur Radhika madan jaisi nhi hoti. And TV guys hardly have any scope in bollywood, females ko toh phir bhi mil jaata hai roles.

True. But seeing yourself on the big screen is different.

And since digital content is bold, have to see how far he is willing to go.

Ya, SSR ko achhe achhe movies mil re the. But see what happened now.

Even Rajeev Khandelwal and Barun Sobti got, but didn't play for long.

The rest acted in somewhat B grade films. Like KSG..

I would be worried for him when he ventures.

Does anyone know when movie theatres will open? When audiences will go back to the theatres to watch movies in a cramped indoor space? Everything is so uncertain now. Nobody is sure when vaccine will come out and if it will be completely effective. I can see Bollywood dying slowly with this pandemic and all the ongoing controversies and drug scandals. Everything will become digital after this, that’s how I envision the future.

Shah probably won’t do bold scenes but he can do action or crime thriller with bits of romance thrown in.

If the content is crisp then bold scenes are not needed...

Eg..Barun....asur ,halahal,..

Or light hearted romedy

..

Is Halahal out already? Which streaming site is it on? Did you watch Asur? How was it?

And yes, bold scenes are not compulsory in web series unless it’s from Balaji

Saying Bollywood is dying is not true. Bollywood or any other Indian film industry like Kollywood, Tollywood and Sandalwood are so much bigger in terms of reach and remuneration compared to web series and TV shows. That is why most actors try their luck on movies. Internet penetration in India isn’t that great. If I am not wrong, even TV show actors get more remuneration than web show actors. These web shows don’t have a reach comparable with films. So if an actor gets a meaty role in a film with a good script, he should totally take it up. But then TV actors should learn to agree at some point of their films aren’t taking off. I can list so many TV actors who got over ambitious and ended up losing TV as well as movies.

I would also like to add Gurmeet Choudhary to this list. I really liked him in Punar Vivah. Bechara he has been trying for 7 years now. Nothing has been working in his favour. Hope he gets a break! Have to appreciate his persistence. But yeah I guess he should also be open to returning to TV if film opportunities aren’t coming.

Yeah, barun and rajeev did small budget movies and hardly anybody watched it. Ksg has such a good fan base but he ventured into films and couldn't leave a mark.

That's why like shah said it's better to do a good show than a movie with small banners. Popularity bhi rahegi aur paise bhi milenge aur fans bhi khush honge.

I don’t think these actors lose their popularity when they foray into films. It’s just that the kinda popularity TV actors have is very less compared to the kinda reach and popularity film actors have. That is why they find it hard to survive in the film industry.

I hope people start watching movies based on script and screenplay and not based on who is acting in it. Most of the so called ‘A listers’ movies are very bad in the script department. Such films try and use the actor’s stardom to make the film work rather than story.
