I feel like actresses are successful in their 30s because they have to start young to build up the momentum to reach to that level in their 30s. Hell lost of them are starting in their teens already *cough star kids*. In the first few years in their 20s they are just looking pretty and singing and dancing and then they start getting good roles and being considered as good actors this happens during the late 20s unless you are like alia and get the cream of the projects.

I would love to see if there is any actress who can start at 30 and get that level of success

To start at 30 they probably have to come in through theater like many actors who've come to films later.

Overall acting is a profession that usually benefits from experience, especially if one is willing to learn and work hard. Most actors are not doing their best work in their 20s - they start to hit their stride in their 30s or even 40s and older. Which is why it would be wonderful to see more actresses in their 30s, 40s or even 50s paired with actors in those age ranges. Winning a beauty pageant or being a star kid should not be the main criteria for being the leading lady in a big feature film against an older established star. It doesn't make either party look good and it makes for worse films.

Ooh, so it's ultimately for the benefit of men only. What can you expect from a patriarchal society?

You’re right, age definitely no longer matters so much...

Most of the top actresses are 30+ rn... Deepika, Priyanka, Kareena, Anushka, Katrina, Shraddha, Tapsee, Kriti, Bhumi... even Aloo will be 30 in a couple of years and she has got several upcoming films...

It’s like 30 is the new 25, and 40 is the new 30

If the actresses are great actors like Tabu, vidya, konkona sen, madhuri and etc yes age is just a number. But for other actresses age and marriage is the limit, career over for them.
