Drug addicts do function normally with their daily dose. They do not create scene like alcoholics. I have experienced both type of addicts and I have full loathing towards both of them.

Cocaine tolerance increases after you get addicted and then when you get addicted its easy to overdose and die. How come we don't hear if it. People experiment with drugs but if one starts taking it casually, you are done for.

Addicts will choose cocaine over food and water.

They do not have any sense of their environment. There brain cannot function like a normal person.

I am more surprised by how scandalised everyone is asking. Every edgy show/film about Bollywood has people doing cocaine. Sacred Games, Fashion, Heroine etc. What is the surprising bit? 😆

Middle class is generally pretends to be highly moral and have a holier than cow attitude. These people cannot accept people from different caste. How can you expect them to accept the problem of drug addiction in this country.

The person knows how drug addicts function. I knew one who used have such a high confidence in his work when he was on high. When he was not he even refused to talk to a client on call.

You are right. The middle class in most societies bare the burden of upholding values and morals. The rich consider themselves beyond such bourgeois thought and for the poor it's a luxury they can't afford amidst a constant struggle for survival.

As for acceptance of the drug problem, it is precisely because we don't want to accept it that we are revolting against it. I have children. One in high school and I know what goes on there. I couldn't care less if all of BW ODs overnight. I do care that the suppliers, the spreaders of the disease are caught and punished. I want the enablers and pushers like Rhea and gang to pay dearly.
