From where I see it, I don't think the twin was planned from the beginning. They probably introduced it to bring about a twist to boost trps. To jet speed to Veer and Bani's wedding, induce a stronger reason for "revenge" and remove Jay from the picture, even if temporarily. And all the hullabaloo for some degree of 'revamp'. Despite this, some things remain unclear. I am assuming next week's episode will reveal more in showing how Veer and Bani and the rest of the character's change in terms of dynamics and how the story progresses.

The twin IS/WAS simply a short lived plot device, yes (He might probably come up in flashbacks or return from the death later on, as another member pointed out to me). To be honest, I don't mind this fact and am not bothered by it. A twin imo would have clutter the story at this point. Neither does it bother me as much that Bani is trying to try and prove her innocence regarding the twin's death, or that Veer will be mad at Bani for causing it. The characters and story had to lead to a high point to switch gears. For me, it is also a chance to properly showcase the journey of Veer and Bani's love story with more depth.

What DID bother me however, was some of Veer's actions with Bani in the recent episode. I do get that Veer is grey or even dark character. Keeping that in mind, he will do questionable things that are skewed in the moral sense whether there was a sane underlying reason or not. But It still made me extremely uncomfortable, especially when Bani was trying to wriggle out of his hold during the dance. That too in front of everyone. It was harassment and somewhat of a humiliation for Bani. I wish that everything Veer did aside, at least when it comes to Bani, he had stayed true and proper.

EDIT - YES, I too feel that Surbhi did amazingly in last night's episode despite the shoddy execution and direction imo.

@bold completely agree. One of the reasons I am discontinuing is that I don't see any redemption from this point. Not for me , ever.

There was no revenge until now. There's still no reason !

If Bani misunderstands Veer , which she shouldn't because she has seen the twins. Their outfit was different. But even if she does , every secret is out right now.

Twin killed Jai , Bani killed twin. End of story.

Also if Bani thinks that Veer killed Jai then she should be guilty about killing an innocent , not about planning another murder ( by marrying Veer and then killing him etc ).

Whichever route they take , this doesn't make sense.

I don’t think the twin is dead, if Jay isn’t dead then how can Veer’s twin be dead? I’m sure he will be shown as resurrected and alive in the future episodes.

If you ask me, season 3 did not have a proper revenge story either. I think the real revenge here is that of Bani’s dead parents whom Balwant killed along with the other passengers. When Bani comes to know about that it will be another high point of the show besides Jay being shown alive.

And also Naagin is not just about revenge alone, it’s about protecting the naagmani as well and here I think like Rithik, Veer might have some kind of connection with the naag mani.

Also coming to man handling part, I have seen worse than this in other shows and movies beyond ITV, this shit gets romanticized in Kdramas, and movies as well, for example boys over flowers, fifty shades of grey etc. oh let’s not forget how Aahil used to treat Sanam in Qubool Hai as well, this is still somewhat mild at the moment. I don’t support manhandling of women in fact I would be the first person to dump such shows, however in case of Veer for some reason, I am just not able to abhor him, perhaps it’s because I know he isn’t a human to begin with, or maybe because he actually doesn’t mean to hurt Bani like all the other nasty ML i’ve seen till date.

I mean this twin thing should have been revealed later not now and definitely it didn’t need to be a reason for wedding.

If she can kill his twin, why would she marry him?

I think the twin story is brought to add the mystery element and shock factor which was missing in the show. I mean from the beginning, everyone already knew that Jay was going to be the villain and that Veer is the good guy, but who would have thought that Veer actually had a twin brother?

That’s totally fine but this is not getting the reveal it deserves also. It’s like oh he has a twin, oops you killed him. Now if Bani can kill Cheel why she would even be forced to marry Veer?

I don’t think it’s going to be a forced marriage, the precaps and promos have been very misleading till date. She is AdiNaagin, no one can forcefully marry her. Something probably will happen next week.

Exactly this twin theory was such a bs. It would have had a purpose if this Veer died and his twin swapped places with him. That would have had an impact on the storyline.

It doesn't contribute to the wedding in any shape or form. It could have been addressed very differently.

Also exactly , she killed his twin assuming that it's Veer himself so why marry Veer to kill him yet again ? Kill him right away. Or else I think she should regret more about killing an innocent right now.

Yeah probably. But this storyline is irrelevant from marriage perspective. They could have got them married in a lot of ways.

Season 3 had a revenge storyline for a good amount of time. The suspense , the confusion regarding Ruhi & Vikrant. Bela being confused regarding the killers , those tasks regarding Nagmani.

Yes , I too think Vikrant shouldn't have been alive but EK's soulmate theory wasn't coming true this way. Vikrant having a hidden motive was necessary to justify Bela & Mahir being in love. Also they needed to show how Bela loved Mahir waaay more than Vikrant , even in his presence she chose mahir over and over again.

But I still think they could have headed differently.

Please god ! The obsession I had with Aahil Sanam years ago. A few months back I was watching qubool hain again and I couldn't complete the show because of their bs. A 0.000001 effort from the ML was hyped up to no end. I liked Seher & Rehan better , they ruined them too.

I dislike Veer's obsession but like I explained he had some redeeming qualities but yesterday's episode killed it for me. I found it uncomfortable to watch. He might be a cheel or a crocodile idc but it's not that he doesn't have a human side. He can THINK. The thing is just that there is a line. I found him crossing it. That's it.

And it's obvious that the nagmaani will be involved in the storyline but it's just not enough when there is no storyline to begin with. It's a circus right now , the makers trying everything to make this season a hit , no matter the consequences.

This shadi track itself is for trp because somehow people like it , then comes this additional twin track which was again rushed for trp & shock value in the promo etc.

If the story is this bad in the begining , how will it be within the next few weeks. There is no gripping storyline to attract of sustain the audience.

Honestly I don’t think he was that bad, plus there’s a doubt if it was really him to begin with. With the twin confusion now anything seems possible. Coming to obsession, yes he is obsessive but stalkerish.... I’m not sure. I mean he isn’t monitoring her every movement, he is more like a roadside Romeo rather than a stalker.
