I think it's very difficult for him to accept Bondita as his wife right now - due to many reasons. We know that they both are made for each other, but he doesn't know / hasn't realized yet naa!
First, their marriage happened in very challenging circumstances - he still looks at it only through the lens of saving her from the atrocious social evil. Second, he's totally against child marriage and cannot accept the fact that he took part in one social evil to prevent another, perhaps worse social evil. Third, he cannot look at her as though she's his wife since she's only a kid now. But he will learn and grow over time, as will Bondita!
Once she is capable of understanding what marriage is, then we will see a whole new equation between them at least from her end - how he'll react to that remains to be seen! Eventually he is going to come around though - it just takes time!
