Anupamaa has one job!! To raise respectful independent Children that are good human beings. She failed terribly at her job. So many hard working women manage housework while raising Children who are respectful Human beings. If she didn’t work and didn’t raise good children, is she considered a hero for managing the kitchen well?

Uhm...

It shouldnt take another individual to point out how HORRIBLY REGRESSIVE your statement is.

Anupamaa is the mother, so she is to blame for her childrens lack of respect? WOW.

So lets blame the women who not only has to make sure her kids eat, the elders are taken care of, the household chores are done.. BUT also has to SINGLE HANDEDLY make sure her kids grow up respectful.. lemme guess while her HUSBAND is out earning money and sleezing around with another women.

Shes at fault. 👏

If that's the case, Samar would also be disrespectful. What did she decide she was going to skip her first and last kid and focus on makin Samar the only respecting child just on whim?

HER KIDS do not respect her because they had HORRIBLE models in their FATHER and their GRANDMOTHER who treat her like a maid.. so the kids grow up thinking that SHE IS ALSO A MAID. and if they cant respect their mother, forget respecting ANYONE else.

Say it louder for the people in the back 👏 thank you for this. Every point you made was bang on!!

I cannot stress this enough. Anupamaa did what she had to and it’s clear from Toshu’s behaviour the other day when he apologised to her that there is love for their mother somewhere. But as it was so common to see that their mother was treated in particular way that they too assumed that they ought to behave this way.

Totally disagree. Children after a point of time stops caring at what their parents are telling. I'm also of same age as Samar, sometimes I also don't listen to some of my mother's advice, for which I have to pay heavy for not listening. That doesn't mean, my mother failed at job of raising the children.

She raised Toshu, Samar, Pakhi well upto a point of time, let's say upto they became teenagers but when Toshu, Samar andPakhi understood how their mother is treated by their family especially by their father, Toshu and Pakhi started treating her the same, where Samar started to become her support as sometimes he also received such treatment from his family and father.

Anupamaa didn't fail, her children failed to take her values!

This!!!

And Anupamaa as a woman, wife and mother and daughter in law has not failed.

The few ppl inside the house have failed her and fail her. There is no respect for her, no affection.... esp from Vanraj and his mother

I agree. Children after years and years watching how their father treats their mother, where their father is their role model actually, will try to imitate him. Toshu and Pakhi started treating her like their father but Samar understood and supported his mother.

What to expect from children when elders can't treat Anupamaa nicely
