If it were my family, I wouldn't consider it self goal. I'd feel some amount of justice was done as the people who deliberately gave him drugs (per Rhea's messages) will now face punishment.

Don't conflate the 2.

irrespective of how common it has become, drug consumption is a crime that destroys life.. Normalizing taking drugs is never justified no matter how prevalent it becomes
