Yes Ryan understands Sara, and his first loyalty lies with her because he knows her better than he does AshNi.

AshNi are in a good place now and that makes them more receptive and more understanding of the world around them. I don’t know if you’ve noticed when everything is going well for you, you tend to be more understanding and less judgmental of the people around you. I don’t know if it’s true for everyone but I find it’s certainly true for me. Also, when not in a good place it’s easier to think bitterly or badly of the people around you. Compare and contrast AshNi and Sara now. AshNi are in love, Ashu has his mom back, they’re going to be married, everything is beautiful and exciting for them. For Sara, not so much. And she’s also dealing with relationship woes where Ian is concerned. Since this fic is about Sara and Ryan, their feelings will be of more importance obviously. But see how receptive Ashutosh was even when he understood what was bothering Sara? He immediately took the responsibility of doing something about it, instead of harbouring resentment back at Sara for feeling the way she’s feeling. When you think of the same Ashutosh who was harbouring resentment towards his mom for 30 yrs because he thought she left him, you have to accept how much he’s changed! And this is the new and improved Ashutosh now trying to mend fences with Sara. Will he succeed? Only time will tell...

The highlight is interaction of Ashu and Ryan....one wants to become close to Sara and other also wants Sara to get close to her brother but not sure if he can play the role....well written....👏

I wanted to draw a parallel between these two men who’re both having trouble connecting to their younger sisters. Ryan does like Ashutosh but he truly does not believe it’s in his place to interfere in Sara’s equation with him. He respects her too much for that. I think deep down he also understands that relationships can get complex and it’s not easy to take sides. There is no right or wrong, there’s just emotions and feelings which have to be dealt with by the people in question- not Ryan. And Ryan also believes he sucks at relationships so he’s surprised and wary at being asked for advice..

Sara has many other issues but the solution for Ashu-Sara is issue is knowing Ashu's past.....

That and once she digs deeper she will understand that she and Ashu are very similar

Also Ashu is somewhat at fault for not trying to reach out to his mom or even try to get to know his half-siblings. It’s only because his mom is forgiven that he’s even trying to get to know Sara and Jai. Otherwise he’d still be estranged from them. None of this is Sara’s fault. I’m not saying it’s Ashu’s either but he’s one of the people (other than his mom and she tried enough) that could have ended this rift sooner..

I feel Ashu and Sara are different.....Ashu is more confident on his achievements as an individual while Sara is not so....

May be on relationship front, they were but now Nidhi is there for Ashu while Sara is still not sure about Ian...
